Why Jimmy Doria chose Stratton and Bromley Ski Areas

We absolutely love Vermont . We choose this area for our vacation home due to its amazing location at the base of Bromley Mountain and minutes away from Stratton Resort, Magic Mountain, Okemo Resort, Mount Snow and Killington VT . It is just a few minutes to Manchester Center, VT. The area offers so much natural beauty and many ways to enjoy it. The Long Trail, Vermont's longest hiking trail, is part of the Appalachian Trail which starts in Georgia and reaches nearly to the Canadian border. The trail runs over Bromley Mountain.

What makes this house unique

The convenience of staying on mountain makes for a extremely pleasant experience.

Good for big groups, very functional space with everything you need.

  • 4 of 5

A group of us stayed while we were showing at the Vermont Summer Festival. Plenty of space for a non-family group. Large common area space, clean bathrooms and kitchen and the owner was extremely responsive and helpful.

Super Happy!

  • 5 of 5

Friends and family found this house to be perfect for our getaway to Stratton Mountain. It is about a 10 to 15 minute easy ride to Stratton from the house. Also did a day at Bromley since it was right out the back door. The owner called to make sure we were set and if we had any questions to give him a ring. Couldn't be happier!

2 Families, One House, Great Memories

  • 4 of 5

There were 2 families who stayed here near the end of March for 4 nights and 3 days of skiing. We had 4 adults, a teenager, and 7 younger kids. The house was spacious and allowed room for everyone. There were 2 full bathrooms which was great as each family had a bathroom for themselves during the stay. The exterior doors have a code which is great to not need to worry about keys when some wanted to come in early while others stayed skiing later.

This house can be seen from the ski drop-off area so it is very convenient. There is a trail out to Lourde's Prayer. You have to climb up a short but steep hill to access it, but it's doable. It is at a slight decline, so getting out onto the ski hill is a bit easier than returning, but we made it an adventure at the end of every day when we returned.

The only drawbacks we experienced were minor. There were 2 old-style video game machines but neither one worked. Also, there is no DVD player in the house so if you're bringing movies along to do movie night, you need to bring your own DVD player.

On the plus side, the house came with sheets, towels, board games, all kitchen utensils, etc. The owner was very responsive to any questions we had. We had a great time and would certainly check availability of this house on future trips to Bromley.

We had a great time!!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for my family which included 6 adults and 2 grandchildren, it was comfortable, clean, and roomy. Jim came around and made sure we were O.K. and showed us where the trail was to Bromley. He was very helpful, especially when my husband accidentally locked his keys in the car while cleaning the massive snow that we got off our car the day we were leaving. We certainly would go back. Thank you Jim!

We couldn't of asked for a better 5 days of skiing either - snowed everyday!!! Bromley is a very family friendly mountain.

This is a great house right next door to Bromley Mountain!

  • 5 of 5

We had 8 adults staying in the house and it never felt cramped. When we arrived the house was clean and ready for us to start having a great time. All the bed’s were made with clean linen and were comfortable. The kitchen had everything necessary to cook for 8 adults. Shortly after check in the owner contacted us just to make sure everything was squared away and there were no issues. That personal touch plus the ease of booking made this vacation stress free. After a full day of skiing it was great to come back to the house, cook a quick meal and watch some football games. We would highly recommend this house for anyone looking to take a vacation at Bromley.
