We are a Boston couple with grown up kids, who have moved out to other cities. We bought this house with a separate cottage back in 2007 and spent many wonderful summers with the kids at the Cape, walking to the beach and kayaking on our very own pond. We still manage to get down to the Cape every opportunity we can.
Gary Ty purchased this cottage in 2007
Location. Beauty. Walk to the beach.
Red Lily Pond is a heritage in itself with a very active conservation association.
The house is the cutest thing with wainscoting, chair rails and lower half of all the walls in natural pine. Breeze filled screened porch is a wonderful place for family meals and to while away the lazy hours. I love to have my breakfast sitting on the outdoor mahogany patio set by the pond and watching the birds.
Bonnie and Clyde, two white swans, are long term residents of the Red Lily Ponds. But we did not see them this year. I hope the Feds have not caught up with them!
Tommy the turtle, is another resident of the pond but seems to have gone looking for Bonnie!
We had a great experience when renting this home! The home was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, such as towels, kitchen appliances, etc... to make the stay even better! The location of this beautiful home was also a plus! Close to the beaches, shops and great restaurant choices. The screened in patio was a favorite place to have our coffee in the morning. We also fed the ducks in the pond right in the back yard...it was so peaceful! At night, we were so cozy in the livingroom with a beautiful, large Smart TV. The owners were a pleasure to work with and made sure we had what we needed as well as trip ideas for us! The home doesn't have many stairs, which was perfect for my 70 year old mom. I found the home to be even nicer in person than I expected, based on the photos! We were all very happy with our stay and I would definitely recommend this home to others!!
