Me and my husband came into town to surprise my sister for her daughter's 1st birthday. It took 10yrs for my sister to have a child and we felt it was important to be there for the babys 1st birthday. The house served it's purpose since partly we were there to just relax and the rest we were there to spend time with family so the space was perfect for my family members to come by and stay. The 2 bedrooms were spacious, both with sliding doors that lead to the outside shower (amazing! I could've stayed there forever). If you're coming into town and don't want to stay in Waikiki with all the other tourist, I believe this would be the perfect spot. It's a 2 story but I believe the owner leaves when people stay because the top story was empty. There were a few misses but nothing you can't live without. Trust me when I say this place was great!
This place was amazing, the pictures didn't do it justice. The house was clean and had everything we needed. I'm glad we decided to stay on this side of the island, much more calm and peaceful. The beach directly across the street was breath taking. We brought hammocks, put them up in the trees and enjoyed the day. The beach also had public restrooms and a park. The Polynesian cultural center is a must, they have the best luau, great shopping, and wonderful restaurants. The house is a 5 minute or less drive to the Polynesian cultural center. Also the house has a Longs within a 2 minute drive (Which is a CVS pharmacy). A quick side note; this side of the island isn't as expensive to shop. The Longs drug store (CVS) was around the same prices I would pay back in Arizona. This property's owner Ted, thanked us, brought us a gift and was extremely helpful. The house was stocked with everything you needed to cook, and would need for the beach. Amazing! We didn't have to spend extra money on snorkels and towels. Thanks Ted for making our trip awesome! Definitely would stay here again, and plan on it next year!!!
My family and i were there for a family reunion. It was the perfect location for us! The house is across the street from a park. That is super close to the beach. A quick 3 minute walk. Perfect for boogie boarding! Just be aware that you have to cross a pretty busy street. The home is well cared for and beautiful! It has PLENTY of space for 6 people.
Teds home was perfect for our family of four adults. It had all the modern amenities a family could possibly need and more.
The open plan layout allowed our family to spend quality time together inside and out in the alfresco area. The large kitchen was well equipped with ample bench space, large fridge / freezer, dishwasher, microwave and oven. A little hint when working in the kitchen and its a little too warm: try opening the windows to allow the cool breeze to come through. We ended up being able to turn the air conditioning off and enjoy the cool breeze. The home is secured behind a large electric gate (with controller).
The rooms were spacious, well furnished with queen sized beds and a large flat screen TV in each room, air-conditioning (a must) and large wardrobes. The laundry area has a modern washer and dryer set up. The bathrooms were well designed with ample space for a family.
The highlight of the home was the outdoor shower.... it was strangely satisfying being able to shower outdoors (well covered and enclosed from peeping eyes) under the stars and out in the open.
The home is situated directly across from the beach - literally a two minute walk before you hit the water. There were two sets of shops close by and the Polynesian Cultural Center and Hawaiian LDS Temple a 4 minute drive down the road. The drive into the city / airport (Waikiki) took around 45 - 55 minutes and the drive to Haleiwa around 30 - 40 minutes.
Ted was a gracious and friendly host who made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Ted was prompt with his responses and communicated everything you needed to know well ahead of time. He even dropped in with some chocolates to say thank you for renting his home.
We would definitely stay here again!
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L if I could find a place like that every time I went on vacation I would never stay in a motel again very private very spacious the man that rents it is really nice I recommend to anyone to rent this property
Large 2 bed/2bath downstairs house. Plenty of space, comfortable beds and 3 large screen TVs. Very secure area with beach and park across the street. A few shops with in walking distant and more within a mile. Located on the North shore, the area offers something for everyone. Owner is very nice and is helpful with what ever you need to make this stay memorable. The outdoor shower was great, we used it all the time. You may what one of your own!
