About the property

1 Bed Apt - It sleeps 2 people - Write directly to manager with any questions

This wonderful apartment with stunning hardwood floors is one of only two in the building. Up one flight of stairs with exposed brick walls, and into your 600 sq ft city getaway you will find a sparkling white bathroom (with combination shower/tub) and in the bedroom, your Queen- size, latex mattress awaits you (doctor recommended for bad backs). You can also relax enjoying the 36' flat screen HDTV and cable.

Perfect for meals you may wish to “eat in,' the kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, pots, and pans for the cooks among you. But why cook? Some of New York’s finest restaurants are in the neighborhood.

Only steps away many wonderful restaurants like the very Italian Rafele, Pizzeria Numero 28, The Brazilian Berimbau, and the little Thai Potjanee! Across the street is the famous St. Luke’s Place, listed in every guidebook as the Historic “must see” street in The Village. As day turns to night, the urban sounds of the city immerse you in the magic of the New York City experience.

You can rent a book from the Hudson Branch of the New York Library and enjoy it nearby in The James J. Walter Park. The Park packs plenty of entertainment for children of all ages; from jungle gyms to tether ball, ball fields and athletic fields, as well as an Italian Bocce Court for the young-at-heart. Adjacent is the Tony Dapolito Recreation Center which offers adult memberships at $35, seniors at $10, and 6-17 year olds are free.

Bleecker Street, only two short blocks away, is famous for its new designer shops and specialty food stores, selling everything from freshly baked bread to homemade Italian sausage.  Experience what it is like to be a real New Yorker with anything that you could ever want within 2 blocks.  We are sure you will enjoy your stay in this charming Village apartment near all transportation, shopping and some of the best restaurants in the Village.  The 6th and 7th Avenue subway lines are close and all other lines are nearby.

Whatever your heart desires, from music to food, is within minutes of this magical apartment.

You will mostly be dealing with Luca, who helps Barbara with guests' booking, while she is away! Ask for our weekly and monthly rate if you'd like to be a New Yorker for loner stays!

If you have more than two people in your party, additional fee per person, per night may apply above the first two guests. Please discuss it with us.

Check in is generally at 2PM and check out at 11am. We try to be flexible, but cannot do very late check ins.

Great value in NYC

  • 5 of 5

Having stayed in the other apartment opposite many times we decided to try this one and were not disappointed. Slightly smaller than the other it has all you will need for a visit to NYC. Lovely comfortable bed, terrific shower and water pressure, excellent reliable internet, a must nowadays, and the security of knowing that should you need assistance, then the people running the place will be on hand.

Always our go to place in Manhattan.

Cant speak highly enough of these apartments and the people and will always go back.

Many thanks again for a great visit.

Wonderful location for non-touristy tourists!

  • 5 of 5

We absolutely loved this apt during our week long stay in the city. It's small, but the high ceilings and layout of the furniture still make it spacious enough for 2-3 people. It was incredibly clean and exceeded our expectations in every way! Since there are only two apartments in building and both are up a flight of stairs, we never had any problems with noisy neighbors or felt unsafe. The apartment faces 7th Ave. S and we loved waking up and people watching while having a cup of coffee at the dining table.

As far as the street noise, it was actually relaxing for me. As someone who sleeps with a fan and needs noise, it didn't bother me at all. The subway was much more shaky than I expected it to be, but that didn't influence our stay at all, nor did it really bother us while sleeping since the trains seemed to cease at the times we were in bed.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay at this apartment on our next visit to NYC and I would refer it to any of our friends or family as well. Luca and John were both more than helpful in booking the apartment and then after our arrival when we asked for more towels. We also used the fold and wash on Cornelia St about a block and half away and it was great. We ate at several of the restaurants in the area including Murray's Cheese Bar, Pearl Oyster Bar, and The Little Owl. Again, can't recommend this apartment enough!

Good value for money, close to transport.

Only complaint would be the refrigerator needs replacing as it doesn't work, which was a hassle for us as we were in NY with very hot weather .

These apartments are wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We rented both apartments in this building. Our son and his family stayed in one, and we stayed in the other. Both were just wonderful- clean, spacious, well-equipped. While some reviews mentioned the noise of the subway below the apartments, we did not find it a problem at all, as I thought it might be. The manager and the super were both so friendly and helpful. The neighborhood was great. These apartments were miles above the usual too-small, too-expensive hotel rooms we had gotten used to in New York.

First timers

The apartment was in a great position. It was comfortable but if noise bothers you, the noise of traffic and the subway would be an issue. Everything functioned but it was in need of a spring clean. Both the super John and Luca were very helpful. I would stay again.
