Exactly what we needed, quiet and relaxing. A lot of attention to detail and as private as we expected. Thanks Mike, hope to come back another time
Quiet, clean, has everything you need. Fenced in backyard was great! Had a few inches of fresh snow the weekend I stayed here, it was great to have the carport to cover up my car! Hot tub is perfect under the stars. Great getaway for a quite weekend. Dam Diner is on the way to Stratton, talk about a score, love that place.
This private cottage is a great place to go when you want to get away from all the hustle & bustle. The home was clean and had a beautiful large living room. We enjoyed the hot tub & hiking with our dogs while on vacation. There was a lot of snow and the home was located in a nice private wooded area. The cottage is not too far from Stratton. The grocery store was also not too far and had everything we needed. We would recommend it to friends & family. It was a great place to stay and we would definitely go back again next winter.
Cozy and clean, nestled in the middle of the woods making this a quiet location. Everything was as advertised. Dam diner is definitely a must...
This place is a score. If you are lucky enough to stumble across this rental then you are in for a real treat. We stayed here during during Thanksgiving/Winter Storm Cato and were lucky enough to enjoy 14 inches of fresh snow. The property is prepared for just about any kind of scenario and Mike is too. Mike was attentive and willing to help when needed but never overbearing. Super kid and pet friendly with plenty of room to bound. The pictures do not really do it any justice and the amenities are all that you would want. Washer and dryer are a bonus and the water is HOT! The tap water is also very delicious. Plenty of room for gear and luggage. Sleeping accommodations are very comfortable. Easy and beautiful drive to Stratton Mountain Resort and an even easier drive to Brattleboro, VT. The roads are well taken care of and were never an issue getting out to enjoy the powder. However, in our opinion, we would recommend having a 4WD (and we did) but it not absolutely necessary. The carport was also a huge bonus as it was nice not to have to dig out and clean the car off. We suggest that you bring your groceries with you if you are accustomed to a certain diet or organic food. Groceries are there but do not have the best of selections. Bring a robe because the walk to the hot tub can be pretty brisk if you forget one! Make sure to shower off to get rid perfumes, lotions and shampoos before entering hot tub and do not dunk your head in the water. This will make the hot tub stinky and there is no avoiding it! Again, this place is a treat and we were lucky enough to stumble across it. Thanks again Mike!!
Excellent stay, and of course the Vermont color is always first class. The owner was a most courteous host and gave us a personal tour of the entire property. Would definitely recommend this location to others. The Dam DIner was a real treat.
