WE LOVE our Beach Cottage and so do our guests.... many have been enjoying this secluded hide-away in paradise!

ALOHA! PEACEFUL...TRANQUIL...PERFECT FOR RELAXING! In this spacious one/two bedroom cottage you can truly get away from it all with spectacular unobstructed ocean views from nearly every room!

Our remodeling project was finished in 2010, complete with upscale kitchen and bathroom. We have granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, quartzite flooring throughout, Hawaiiana style elephant bamboo furniture, a fabulous bathroom with walk-in shower, plus a hot water shower in the outer back porch as well. Our glass enclosed lanai (porch) overlooking the ocean is complete with a bar height dining table and seating area, perfect for watching sunsets inside or out. Although we tried to leave no stone unturned on the inside, the best part however still remains, the incredible beachfront oceanview, the green sea turtles that feed in the water in your front yard, the peace and quiet you will find, the long strolls on the beach and the lush beautifully landscaped property. This is truly a tropical haven!

This cottage is a duplex, located on a 6 acre parcel with other cottages. The property has secured gated parking, a heated non-chlorinated pool, tennis courts, chipping green and a laundry room available to all our guests.

There are miles of deserted beaches with golden sand and pristine waters, filled with tropical fish, seasonal whales and green sea turtles. Discover isolated sandy coves perfect for swimming and snorkeling, driftwood, seashells, surfing, windsurfing & kite boarding. The mountains behind the cottage offer good hiking trails. Just a few miles from the cottage you will find the world famous beaches of the North Shore and the lovely historic town of Haleiwa. There is a harbor, restaurants, art galleries and local food markets. We are an easy 30 minutes from Pearl Harbor and about 10 more from there to the Honolulu Airport.

Welcome to Paradise!!

It was clean & homey. Quiet location, easy to reach areas to visit

  • 4 of 5

Clean, well stocked. Loved the town of Haleiwa & all the beaches of the area. Peaceful place literally right on the water. Made for good sleeping. Enjoyed watching parachutes coming down to near by Dillingham Airfield. We enjoyed the hike at very end of road, connecting over to west coast. Protected area of the last fragile Hawaiian sand dunes and one of 2 areas for nesting albatross.

A piece of paradise on the North Shore

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cottage for one week right before the Christmas Holidays. The cottage was perfect, large and that VIEW you can not beat. It was high tide so we did not really have a "beach area" but we knew that with the winter in the North Shore. The cottage had everything you need. It was very well supplied, the owners were great to deal with. We only touched base the day we arrived and really had all the information we needed in the cottage. The location about 20 minutes from Haleiwa but once you got used the drive it was no problem at all. I loved the country side and the quiet and peace it provided. We do have 2 children 10 & 7. We did not see any other children and really felt we had to try to keep them quiet. We loved the cottage but if you do have kids just note that the they can't be running around the area and the edge of the grass where the water line starts could be dangerous for little ones. Our kids slept great in their bedroom, and loved watching their shows on the big TV. Haleiwa is a great town nearby with tons of great restaurants. Make sure to get your groceries before arriving or too late in the evening as there really isn't a large grocery store nearby. We would definitely return to this piece of paradise.

Relaxing ocean view

  • 5 of 5

We walked into the cottage from the back and saw the ocean out the front window. THAT is when the vacation started. Blood pressure dropped, and work was a distant memory. Even if only in my mind, I felt the humid ocean air took away my wrinkles! Sleeping with the sounds of the ocean coming in the windows takes sleep to a whole deeper level and this place provided that comfy place perfect for sleeping or napping! The kitchen was wonderful it had everything. Having coffee and breakfast while watching the waves wash up crabs on the sidewalk was the best part of each day. We stopped at Costco and a grocery store. The kitchen was amply supplied with all the tools we needed, there was even a screwdriver there we used for a camera fixture that needed tightened. The outside shower was also another treat. We took chairs and beach mat out front to watch the waves and listen to the screams of the tandem jumpers far above us. Went down to the beach park to watch parasailing. The community was lovely. The cottages just glowed at night, all the people we encountered were friendly. Plenty of geckos for kids of all ages to chase on the way to the pool or laundry, they are faster than one would think. Plumeria blossoms were all over the ground. Our daughter was able to collect many. This was a beautiful well kept secret away from everything. This was not just a place to stay this became our temporary home without all the projects/commitments that needed tending. It was hard to leave and we want to return already. Definitely as advertised, except words can't describe how relaxing it was.

Serene tropical stay by the ocean

  • 5 of 5

This place was exactly what I had in mind when scouting for places to stay in Oahu with my husband and two kids (14, 10). The house was just as it was pictured and it was just enough space to enjoy our week there. The grounds were well-kept, the unit was clean and well-maintained. It is an attached unit, but we only heard our neighbors once or twice (I hope it was the same for them). They give you warnings about having a sensitive septic system, which I was paranoid about in regards to keeping the sand out, but we didn't have any issues. The outdoor shower and hose was great for getting rid of that excess sand that makes its way into everything. The other units are super close, but if you don't have privacy issues, then it's not a problem because the windows need to be open for ventilation and cooling as there is no AC in the unit. The fans and ocean breeze did a pretty good job of keeping it bearable during the day and the nights were perfect.

We went in October when the water gets rougher on North Shore so unfortunately we didn't get calm water by us or get to snorkle right out front. Be prepared for the same if you go between Oct-April, but it is still nice to be right on the water. There are bays close by that have calmer water such as Waimea Bay. The beach right down the road was so close and private, but again, the waters were a bit rough during our stay.

We stopped at Costco on the way to the house, however, there's a Food Land just a few miles up the road, past Haleiwa, that would be better to get food so you don't over-buy at Costco. We hardly ate out, which was nice. We did, however, make a few stops at Matsumoto's Shave Ice. :) Yum! And the shrimp trucks in Haleiwa.

We loved the ocean views as well as the mountains. There's a polo field next door so we had fun petting the horses and there are some friendly neighborhood cats as well. And frogs! My husband and daughter had fun catching them at night.

Our trip was a great mix of activities (Diamond Head, Army Museum, Manoa Falls, Pearl Harbor, Byodo-In Temple, Dole Plantation, Polynesian Cultural Center) and just relaxing on the different beaches or at the house. Such a fantastic trip. Thanks for the memories!

Owner's Response: Hi Jill thank you for sharing your experience with us by posting a review. I am glad to hear of your many adventures and even the free entertainment from the horses, frogs and wandering cats. Just a quick comment about the ocean, it is ever changing and there are many times from Oct - April where the winds and ocean are super clam. I guess the thing about living in the islands and being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, there are no exact sciences or seasons which is why I never get bored living here. I apologize about the septic system it's just preventive information meant for folks that have never used a septic system before. I am so glad you had such a great stay and I hope to see you next time!
