About Virginia (Ginny) Petrie

I currently live and work in Telluride Colorado. I have been in the area for 10 years and actually lived in the cabin for 3 of those years.

Virginia (Ginny) Petrie purchased this cabin in 2001

Why Virginia (Ginny) Petrie chose Elk Meadows

Its an amazing place and location graced with clean air, peaceful vibes yet close enough to town to get supplies and see the sights.

What makes this cabin unique

The best thing about the cabin is how peaceful and quiet it is. I live in Telluride but it doesn't hold a candle to the peaceful tranquility of our cabin in Ridgway.

Cozy, sweet cabin with majestic views

  • 5 of 5

What a cozy, sweet little cabin that has obviously been well loved by Ginny for years. And the view - WOW! Some of my favorite photos from our vacation came from the view from her deck. And while her place IS up in the mountains, it is anything but remote; it's a quick trip to Ridgway. And did I mention her wifi is FAST?! Last but not least, Ginny is a master communicator - she called immediately after I requested a booking to make sure her place could accommodate my group. And never have I ever received such clear, detailed instructions from a home owner, which included an A-Z list of all the things she had in her cabin. Thanks, Ginny, for a wonderful stay. We've fallen in love with the Sneffels Mountain Range!

Loved it!!

  • 5 of 5

Ginny was wonderful to work with and the cabin was perfect for our family. We are from Colorado so we are used to gorgeous mountain views, however, the views from her cabin amazed us! The cabin has everything you need to cook at home, but is not far from restaurants in Ridgway and Ouray. We will definitely plan to come back! Thank you Ginny for sharing your cozy cabin with us!

Anniversary in Ridgeway

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a few days celebrating our anniversary at Ginnie's cabin in Ridgeway. The cabin was very cozy and welcoming. Our toddler had lots of fun at the cabin as well as adventuring around outdoors. I would highly recommend to anyone that they should look here first for a place to stay if you are planning on being in Ridgeway. The surrounding landscape is spectacular. We hope to visit again sometime in the future.

A very comfortable cabin in a beautiful setting.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin has everything you need.

It's clean, well maintained, and comfortable, with plenty of room.

We didn't plan on watching any TV, but because of hurricane Irma, we watched a little TV the last night we were there. It took a few minutes to figure out but it worked.

Peaceful with a beautiful view!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 4 arrived late Saturday night. We found the cabin to be just as described and more than adequate for our stay. We enjoyed having coffee and breakfast on the deck in the evening it provided great viewing of the stars. We loved having washer and dryer so we didn't go home with tons of dirty laundry! The cabin was very clean. We mostly only cooked breakfast at the cabin but found everything in the kitchen more than adequate to prepare any meal. Definitely recommend this cozy cabin!
