Reasonable price good location

  • 4 of 5

A little bit off he beaten trail but a nice house. Felt safe even though the area is very quiet. Kitchenware a little sparse but realistically who is eating in in NOLA. The food is >50% of the reason to be there. If you like to walk, it is a modest walk through a nice neighborhood to the trolley and Magazine street. If you split the cost between 6 this is the nicest and most economical option I can imagine.

Very nice.

  • 4 of 5

This house was a great house. Very roomy and clean. A few minor things were addressed to our satisfaction. Spoke to the owners themselves, and they were very accommodating and nice. Would definately recommend and stay there again.

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

Great place. It was perfect for what we were doing! Had 7 people stay here and there was plenty of space for all. Close enough to bourbon street but far enough away to not be in the thick of it. Will definitely book this place again!

great cottage in the LGD

  • 4 of 5

The property was clean, well appointed and had great access via bus and cable car to the French Quarters. We used the steam room every day, such a lovely perk because we walk way more than we ride the bus or cable car.

We had some really good meals in the area - the owner made some good recommendations.

I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely cottage needs some TLC

  • 3 of 5

The Creole cottage is a nice spacious house that accommodated the 5 of us very well. The location is just fabulous, uptown, close to Magazine street and the Garden district. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house needs some TLC though, there were some issues with burned out light bulbs, a missing air filter, , a cracked toilet seat, water running continuously through the toilet, and a microwave without a handle. There were enough glasses, and pots and pans. Silverware was adequate as well.It would have nice to have had a cookie sheet to warm our croissants, but we managed without one.The back yard needs tending desperately, we were there in December so we did not need to sit outside, but I think that it would be nice if the yard got cleaned up for the Spring season.

In general though I can definitely recommend this cottage for a delightful stay in NOLA!

Great location, clean house, but no frills

  • 4 of 5

Location can't be beat if you want to stay uptown, with Magazine only three blocks away and some of my favorite old uptown bars right there. Great food selection too for breakfast, lunch and dinner in the nearby blocks.

The house itself is large, with high ceilings and lots of square footage, but I would describe the furnishings as minimal. Really, all you get are the beds, and the sofa as pictured in the posting. BUT, you're not in NOLA to be in your apartment, so if all you need is a place to crash and shower (as our group did), then it has exactly what you want.
