About Deborah Haling

Hi. I'm Deborah and this is our Adventure Cabin in the pines. I own an Adventure Travel company (I'm a travel agent) and I arrange exciting and adventurous trips for Clubs and groups. I am taking outdoor, photography, hiking and social Clubs to some really amazing places next year!! So, what's on your Bucket List??? If you're like me and love adventure - hiking, biking, exploring, fishing... you'll love your stay in Prescott in our cabin in the National Forest. Bring your kayaks or bikes, and enjoy the area.

Why Deborah Haling chose Arizona

Looking for a forest getaway just an hour or so from Phoenix? At 6,100 feet elevation in the cool forest- biking, hiking, fishing and just good ol' R and R are at your fingertips. And we are just a stone's throw (OK - it's a looong stone's throw...) from Lynx Lake. It's just down the road. Where there is a lovely Cafe with wonderful food, a walking path all the way around the lake (fabulous walk!!), fishing, boating and paddle boats for rent!!

What makes this cabin unique

Pine and Oaks, deer and fresh clean air - just an hour or so's drive from Phoenix! In the enchanting forest, but downtown Prescott and Whiskey Row are just minutes away!

Guestbook comments from the owner

As this was my first experience with this type of rental process, I kept my expectations low. I will say I was very pleasantly surprised as I was greeted by Deborah. Her guesthouse was exactly as I was hoping, and then some. This little guesthouse is private and cozy. The added and unexpected feature of having the creek running just outside the window and off the deck, and being able to fall asleep at night with that was "just what the doctor ordered." I spent the week here to "decompress" from my crazy life in the valley, and cant wait to go back. The bed was very comfortable and I must say I haven't felt this rested in quite a while. Thanks again Deborah for a great stay!

Very nice for a quiet get away in the ones.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is comfortable, clean, and in the middle of cool pines. We we were lucky enough to be there during a monsoon weekend, sit on the patio, watch it rain, and listen to the creek below us. Owners made sure we had everything needed before we ever got there and left us to enjoy our weekend without interruption, but let us know how to contact them if needed. Will definitely do this one again.

Wonderful Cabin!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I came from Phoenix for a relaxing weekend of hiking and rest. The cabin was perfectly located and extremely comfortable.

We ate all of our meals out on the deck overlooking the pine trees. We didn't use our car once the whole weekend because we were able to hike right from the front door (off trail hiking).

You will be pleased with this beautiful cabin and all the amenities.

Owner's Response: We are soooo very happy that you had a great weekend! Nothing better than to sit out on the deck and listen to the creek run and hear the wind thru the pines! The perfect "dinner setting". Please come back and see us again. Deborah

Great cabin in the pines!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at the Cabin in the Pines! The cabin was so clean! The owners were very nice and available if we needed anything. The location was great - secluded in the woods (we saw deer outside the window) but yet only a few miles from town. We loved it!

Nice, clean and convenient but not secluded or privat

  • 4 of 5

The cabin is very nice for a couple. It is however above the main house garage, not a secluded cabin in the woods It was just a 5 mile drive to all the shopping and dining you could ask for.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and we do hope you enjoyed your weekend. But to clarify and make a correction, the cabin is NOT above the main house garage as you mentioned. The main house (with it's own garage) is set away from the cabin. The property is on 1 1/2 acres with only 2 neighbors some distance away - so it does seem secluded in the National Forest while still being in "civilization" and on a good paved road. There is a storage area under the Cabin that you may be referring to that is never used. We were not in town the weekend we hosted your stay - and I do hope you felt you had privacy. Sorry that our Cabin did not meet your expectations.
