The best of both worlds! This old-time charmer is a classic Oregon Coast vacation home, just two blocks from the beach and all the attractions of popular Seaside, but quiet and secluded on a private wooded lot. Enjoy all the restaurants, shopping, and entertainment of the busy Promenade and Broadway Street, then retire to your own private retreat with ocean views and backyard.
All of Seaside is just outside your front door, only two blocks from the sandy beach known for razor clamming, sand castle building, and kite flying. Stroll along the historic Promenade where you'll find indoor miniture golf, bumper cars, tiltawhirl and the Funcenter Arcade for the kids.
Full of retro coastal charm, this laid-back beach house features original architecture and finishes from its construction in 1949.
Downstairs is a beautifully furnished living room with a lovely fireplace (for decoration only). A large, sunny kitchen is stocked with all the appliances and equipment needed to prepare meals, which may be enjoyed in the breakfast nook or dining room.
The large backyard is fenced and private, with a barbecue and dining table for six people. It's the ideal spot for kids to play, or soak in the fresh ocean breezes over dinner.
This four-bedroom, three-bathroom home will sleep 10 guests (eight adults, please). The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed and an attached bathroom. Upstairs, the master suite features a king bed and attached bathroom, plus the entrance to the upper outdoor deck. Looking westward from the deck you'll have a bird's eye view of the ocean and the historic promenade that stretches up and down the beach front for almost two miles. Two additional bedrooms each have two beds, a full and a twin in one with a queen in the other.
The home is only three blocks from one of the several Seaside bridges over the Necanicum river that provides good crabbing and steel head fishing. Less than a mile to the south is the public golf course, surfing at "The Cove", and hiking along the Tillamook trail from which there are excellent views of the historic Seaside lighthouse.

House was awesome- 3 bed 2 bath upstairs and 1 bed 1 bath downstairs. Nice kitchen, dining and family room. Great entry hall to leave all things wet and Sandy. Huge fenced back yard with lots table and chairs. Beautiful deck patio off of the upstairs master bedroom! Location was awesome! It was difficult to find a huge home w/in 5 min walking to the beach and downtown area- this house was perfect. We had 5 kids under age 4 and we could all walk downtown and to the beach no problems. Will definitely rent his house again.
This home is a great place for the weekend. The property is very close to town and even closer to the beach, two blocks. We brought our 5 teenage grandchildren for the Classic Car show. We did all that we wanted to while there. The backyard was great and very pleasant.
The Seaside Governors house is awesome. Close to the beach and the promenade. After taking in the sights, it's a comfortable place to hang out and play games or just relax. We have a larger group and there are plenty of sleeping accomodations. All in all, a great place with a great location.
Since we are antique nuts, we really enjoyed the furnishings, many of which are antique. The house is close to both the beach and downtown Seaside which is high on our priority list.
The house is very old. When i was booking, we are aware of the age of the house, but the virtual tour is so impressive. the house looks nice and shiny and sparkly looking, so we booked the house, since location wise, very close to all. Upon entering, my kids don't even want to seat or lay on the bed. good thing we brought our own sheets and pillow to top it. the worse, we have to stay in the house most of the time since it was not the best season, was raining when we went there. if only the house is more inviting, more exciting for the whole family to stay, we do not mind at all if it is all raining the whole time. it's the feeling of "wish it's over vacation" since the accommodation is not as comfy as home, not as comfy as advertised. Should we know that the actual house was in that care, we should just booked in the hotel, as we always do. Now, we had phobia or discomfort checking in a rental house after that experience in governor's house (property ID 381337).
We felt like we were scammed! Was the worse ever place to stay. Please, Please, stop fooling people whom just wanted to go on a peaceful, relaxing and comfy vacation!
