Fabulous location

  • 5 of 5

The view is worth the short walk to Sundog when there is not enough snow from Mother Nature. When there is you have the best of both worlds. Owner is awesome and condo is very comfortable, clean and updated. Perfect for 6 people! Thanks Barbara!

Owner's Response: There is generally enough snow to ski from directly outside the condo, as I'm sure you remember from last season, but unfortunately, there was very little natural snow this winter and it was often necessary to walk through the parking lot to access the Sundog Trail ( walking is recommended for snowboarders, regardless). And we agree that the short walk is worth the views of the slopes. We were pleased to have you stay at our condo again this season, and would be delighted to have you return for another visit next year!

Relaxing Killington/Sunrise Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay in Barbara's Killington condo- one of the nicest that we've stayed in! There was plenty of room for 2 couples and a toddler! The kitchen and bathrooms were renovated, furniture comfortable and the location great for skiing! Barbara was incredibly responsive and accommodating, we were able to relax and enjoy every minute of our getaway! Thank you very much - highly recommend and can't want to go back!

Clean and comfortable condo for family of 4 plus adult family friend

  • 4 of 5

Condo was very clean and comfortable. nice upgrades to kitchen and bathrooms. Barbara checked in with us on the night of our arrival and left a bottle of wine for us - both were very much appreciated and a nice touch. Condo was cold when we first arrived and took several hours to heat up - once we sorted that out, our stay was very comfortable. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Owner's Response: I'm glad the condo worked out well for you, other than the issue with the temperature. For energy conservation, the person who cleans lowers the thermostats to 55 degrees after each guest. Unless there is a same day turnover, the condo will likely be 55 degrees upon arrival and, after adjusting the thermostats, it does take a few hours to reach the selected temperature. No one has mentioned this before, and we never gave it a second thought as we lower the temperature in our own house whenever we leave, but if it is an ongoing problem for our guests, we will need to address it. I sincerely regret the uncomfortable period you experienced while the condo reached an appropriate temperature.

Top notch condo!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I, together with our two boys (ages 2.5 and 3 mos.), sister and brother-in-law had a wonderful time at the condo over Columbus Day weekend. We are not big skiers, but we traveled to Killington from the Boston area to do some hiking during peak foliage. Barbara made the process very easy and really went above and beyond to ensure that we had an excellent experience. She even set out a bottle of wine and prepared a fire for us!! After three hours in the car with a toddler and an infant, we really appreciated all of the little extras. The condo itself was in beautiful condition, very clean and cozy. It was beautiful waking up to the mountains and the fireplace was gorgeous. The condo had everything we needed from linens and towels to cooking supplies. Again, it was wonderfully maintained. The beds were so incredibly comfortable, and the carpets were in new condition. It was perfect for two couples and our children because we were able to stay upstairs with the boys. We had our own bedroom / bathroom, and my sister / brother-in-law had their own space downstairs with their own bathroom. The condo was very easy to find as we received good directions and used our GPS. Plus, it was located near (10 min. drive) a grocery store, the Killington Market, which was very convenient. It was also close (within a half hour drive) to Bucklin Trail, so we were able to hike Mt. Killington (our 49th New England 4,000+ footer!!). There were lots of restaurants open, even in the off-season. We tried Charity's, the Lookout, and the Liquid Art Coffee House. All were good! Our toddler enjoyed "hiking" and playing right outside the condo and along the trails on the property. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Killington area either, even though we visited during the off-season. The Bucklin Trail was beautifully maintained, and we had a terrific lunch at Peak Lodge at the summit. I highly recommend this condo and would definitely rent again!!

Owner's Response: I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay- Sunrise Mountain is gorgeous in autumn! And since we were at the condo directly before you, we were pleased to be able leave a fire ready for you.

Charming Condo Conscientious Owner

  • 5 of 5

My wife, two sons (ages 8 and 12) and nephew (also 12) enjoyed almost a week of great skiing in this lovingly cared for condo. We were able to ski out and ski in from a short walk to the front of the building and an easy glide to the Sunrise ski lift. The condos in the Sunrise area are classic 1980s with a modern design. This unit is sunny and bright and has an updated kitchen, which we used every morning to cook huge breakfasts. New appliances, great pots and pans, colanders, mixing bowls, baking sheet, coffee maker (and filters), teapot, toaster, razor sharp knives and all the incidentals you might need like olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar, some spices too. The living area was very comfortable with a deep couch and chair to relax your tired bones in, new TV with cable. We lit a fire one night and wished we'd used it every night. The boys shared the two bedrooms upstairs between them. There was an over/under washer/dryer unit upstairs that we used to dry wet gloves and bathing suits. The bathrooms had soaps, toothpaste and thick cotton towels. Bedrooms were tidy and warm with extra blankets and pillows. We took full advantage of the Sunrise Village sports center, which has an indoor pool and hot tub as well as an outdoor hot tub. It's a short drive from the condo, but the boys loved it every day and I soaked my sore muscles in the hot water and sat in the sauna. The owners are very attentive and thoughtful. You're not likely to find someone as conscientious and responsive. Would highly recommend staying at this property.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your glowing review! The sunny exposure was one of the reasons we selected this condo, although the downside is that after returning from a full morning of skiing for lunch and then relaxing on the window seat, it can be difficult to get motivated to head outside again!
