Great place in the woods. Really nice house. Sitting in a small meadow in the redwoods ten minutes from fort Ross. The beds were very comfortable. Our dog Sasha got to come with us and she had a ball. Full kitchen some spices and nice cast iron pans. Great stay.
Perfect for what we're looking for. We had issues trying to get in with no cell reception couldn't call anybody we had to go to the Timber Cove Inn to get a working phone and then nobody would answer. We called Evolve and did get some assistance. When we went to use the barbecue for our main dinner Saturday night the propane tank was empty we were very disappointed. And there was no where to fill it up. Upstairs bathroom look like the floor has been swept. There was dental floss and other stuff on the floor.
The cabin was beautiful and location was great. Spacious, clean, amazing views.
We booked this lovely cabin and were very excited for our trip. It looks just like the pictures! Beds were SUPER comfortable and the outdoors is lovely. It's very secluded, so going in and out after dark is a challenge, there's also no cell reception but there's a home phone and strong internet. We had a few minor issues but the lovely host Geni was very responsive about resolving them.
The cabin is amazing. You can tell a lot of time was taken to really refine the cabin and reiterate over the decor to bring it to the state it is in today. Although not too large, the cabin comfortably sleeps 8 and offers enough seating between the dining table and kitchen bar.
The real gem is the lot and the location. Without any neighbors nearby, you get the feel that you are totally secluded in the woods and although there isn't a fenced yard we were able to let our dog roam around through the woods since there weren't many distractions nor busy roads. Costal access is also about a mile and half stroll through the woods from the cabin. The last half mile is along highway 1, so in retrospect it may be better driving especially with kids or dogs, but the walk is totally doable.
Our only complaints are the lack of cleaning supplies. The cabin was only stocked with a single paper towel roll, which is a bit tricky when you have 8 people, and we couldn't find a full sized vacuum for cleaning up upon check out. Other than those two minor complaints, the cabin is amazing and we had a great stay!
There were two adults and two dogs in our party. We stayed downstairs and enjoyed the gorgeous views through the many windows. Cabin was clean, well furnished, and comfortable. There were great hikes nearby and we enjoyed the Ft Ross State Park. We look forward to a return visit in the future.
The listing was accurate and we loved the privacy that came with this property. We will definitely recommend this to friends and family.
