It is a secluded house in the woods, there are only 4 houses on our dead end gravel lane we all have large lots and the other three are extremely friendly. We are though very close to whatever we need.
I would be happy to come over and help with the fire in the colder months whenever you need me to, I only live 15 min. away, so if there are any unexpected problems I could be there quickly.
We were four people (two couples) and needed a place to stay overnight while visiting a relative's haunted attraction (Hotel of Horror in Saylorsburg), and all of our hotel choices were full. I did some research, and this house was in the perfect location. We were so lucky to find a spotless home that was able to rent to us for one night in the Fall. Plenty of room, lots of sleeping accommodations, and the guys loved the pool table. I wish we had more time to relax there and enjoy the setting. Will come back.
This house was perfect for my group of seven friends (and one bunny) to vacation for Labor Day weekend! We enjoyed grilling on the deck, with the beautiful view and gliding chair, relaxing in the jacuzzi after a long white water rafting day, and playing board games in the comfy living room. Thanks for providing a comfortable place for multiple couples and friends! Hope we can come back again!
This house was perfect for our weekend get together. We had a bachelor party and Blue Mountain was the main attraction. We didn't want to stay to far away but we also wanted a place that had some privacy. The house offered plenty of room for our group of 8. 3 bedrooms, living room and plenty of extra room in the basement. The basement also had another bed in it as well. The pool table and hot tub came in handy during a rain storm. We didn't have a need for the TV or the Netflix so I can not comment on that. The Wifi worked fine.
I only have a couple of complaints. We rented the place in the middle of the summer. The house doesn't have central air or A.C. in the common areas. The bedrooms had AC in them but the rest of the house was a sweat box. With eight guys staying we anticipated grilling but the grill was really small. We were glad he provided a grill and propane none the less.
All in all the house was perfect fro what we needed. Carl was very quick to answer my email and text messages.
A group of friends and I were looking for a place to stay near Blue Mountain (10-15 mins away). I spent a weekend here a year ago and knew I had to come back. The house is clean, stocked with the essentials needed (sheets/blankets/kitchen utensils/laundry/etc) and is very spacious. What makes it better is the owner. Carl is very accommodating and welcoming. I'll definitely book his home again when I come back into the area.
We rent homes 2-3X per year and are accustomed to this being our primary way of travel accommodations. Carl was a pleasure to work with and provided communication as needed for info prior to the stay, during the stay, and even afterwards as we had a lost item. The home is in a good location in a nice natural forest like setting. The deck was great, the pool table allowed for fun at night with the family, and although the hot tub was a bit older the kids enjoyed time there.
An important note is that the home DOES NOT have central air and only has a window unit in the top 3 bedrooms. If you are traveling in the summer time this is an important note to make. The basement and main house were warm with temperatures were in the 90's. Coming from the south we are use to central AC and didn't think to ask.
All around a good stay and much appreciated accommodations. If you are planning to ski at Blue Mountain this home looks to be a perfect winter haven!
There are mountain trails , rivers , lakes and waterfalls.
