Why Carl Rush chose Blue Mountain

It is a secluded house in the woods, there are only 4 houses on our dead end gravel lane we all have large lots and the other three are extremely friendly. We are though very close to whatever we need.

What makes this house unique

I would be happy to come over and help with the fire in the colder months whenever you need me to, I only live 15 min. away, so if there are any unexpected problems I could be there quickly.

Carl was very hospitable and friendly! This is a beautiful spot to enjoy vacation away from stress.

The property was beautiful and spacious with plenty to do! The hot tub was super relaxing and so was the old style tub in the upgraded new bathroom. There was a pool table and plenty of space to play. With almost everything all brand new I couldn't ask for more especially the kitchens larger size to cook and entertain even. I recommend this property!

Nice place to stay Sheila T.

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for our annual family reunion. It was a nice place to stay. We did not spend much time at the house since we were at my families homes that live in the area, but it gave us a place to hang our hat while in town. Carl was very responsive and accommodating especially when we needed to extend our stay. There were plenty of towels and has been updated. My dogs were very comfortable staying here and was glad to see the gate above the stairs to keep them on the main floor. The deck was very nice and a place to relax. Thank you for a nice stay. Looking forward to future visits.

Relaxing & Enjoyable

  • 5 of 5

This house was everything that was advertised. It is very private, quiet, clean, and relaxing. We enjoyed the falls at Bushkill park, Jim Thorpe was not what we hoped for, but the Asa Packer Mansion was worth it. The antiquing was pretty poor. We enjoyed Blakeslee Preserve, a nice wooded walk and beautiful brook with a small fall. The Blue Mountain Winery on Friday night was great with dinner and wine tasting at a very affordable price. Definitely get a hoagie at the General Store. Grocery shopping in Broadheadsville is only 10 - 15 minutes away and the Shop Rite is a large well stocked store. The mountain views everywhere you go are stunning. Karl was great and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would stay here again.

Beautiful home and outstanding host!

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a quiet place for an injured AT hiker to rest after surgery. This house was perfect! Extremely clean and well stocked with extra blankets, pillows, towels, etc. The kitchen has everything needed for indoor and outdoor cooking. The deck even has a gate for your kids and pups! The setting was peaceful and private. 5 mins from the general store for picking up supplies or grabbing a sandwich.(I highly suggest you do! Fantastic!)

Due to the nature of the visit, we requested to extend our stay because of follow up appointments. Carl was so helpful and understanding. He accommodated us at every turn. We were so lucky to have picked his lovely home. He was a thru-hiker himself and has beautiful pictures of the PCT throughout the house. Gorgeous views, beautiful home and a host with a heart of gold. I'll never stay anywhere else when I return to the area.

Great place to relax!

  • 4 of 5

We spent a long Memorial Day weekend with our dog at this cute cozy quiet house in the woods. Enjoyed the hot tub, the pool table, the beautiful view of the mountains. The soaking tub in the bathroom was wonderful after a long day hiking at nearby Hickory Run State Park. Carl was very responsive before, during and after the rental process. The house was neat, clean and very spacious. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars was the extra firmness of the beds - which is not a problem if you are able to sleep on a very firm mattress.

Owner's Response: The mattresses are all different ferm levels . If one is to firm for you try another . Carl
