This property is a turn of the century brick revival completely renovated inside and out! It is located in the heart of the finger lakes; 5 miles from Skaneateles, 25 miles from Syracuse, and 45 miles from Rochester.
This spacious home is great for weekend retreats, small weddings, bridal parties, family reunions, hunting and fishing outings, winery weekends, corporate getaways, and bike tours.
The home includes a newly renovated gourmet kitchen and dining room with beautiful views of the lake. There is a large great room that separates each wing of the house and holds an antique billiards table great for entertainment. Two of the bedrooms are on the West side of the house with a king size bed and each offer a large, full bathroom off each room. The other 2 bedrooms are located in the East wing of the house and share an additional 3rd large bathroom. The back of the house includes an expansive deck overlooking the view and there is a covered gazebo for outdoor dining.
This is one of the most beautiful spots on the lake, nestled in a cove, often calm, and great for swimming. Additionally, there is a boundless back yard, and a bonfire pit down by the water. There are so many features of this home that will make for a perfect getaway with a loved one, family or friends!
Just came back from a great week at Owasco Lake. The house is huge. There was plenty of room for our party of 4 adults and 4 kids. The fact that this house is directly on the lake is a huge plus as it offers a perfect opportunity to use the lake for both swimming and kayaking. Bring water shoes as there are pebbles when entering the lake. The “backyard” is enormous and kids spent a lot of time playing all kinds of games there. A wine cooler in the kitchen was a pleasant surprise as the area offers pretty decent Rieslings. We cooked most of the dinners but there is a couple of very nice restaurants in both Auburn and Skaneateles. The owners of the house replied super-fast to all our questions. Highly recommend this house.
This was the third year we've stayed here. Our family comes from Texas and California, and NYC, do the numerous beds are needed. The huge main room, with pool table is always a big hit. The whole house offers alternative places for entertainment when the weather it poor. We intend to return next year.
I grew up in Auburn but live outside of boston now with my family. About 5 years ago I decided to start bringing my kids to the lake to stay for a week. This was our second time staying at this property because we love it so much. It is close to town and the lawn out back is to die for. I love the views from inside the house as well. The pool/game room is perfect for our large family. We were also rained out for a day but we had just as much inside.
This is an excellent and beautiful home! My family was out for my daughter's graduation from law school at Syracuse Univ. We had 8 adults and 2 kids ages 10 and 11. The home is so spacious that you can still find a quiet spot to nap, read or whatever. The pool table was a big hit among all, as well as playing bocce ball on the huge back lawn. We also took the kids out in the kayaks. The expansive deck was great for having your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. Also, my wife and I met the owner who was very nice, and he reminded us who to call if we needed anything (which we did not) during our stay. A short side note, I didn't inform my family about the house or show any pictures. Needless to say, they were all amazed and extremely pleased with my selection!
My extended family and I had a great week here. The house and property are very spacious and offer lots of places to relax, read, sleep, and hangout. We got rained out one day and still didn't feel cooped up as there is plenty of room in the house. The large deck out back is great for large family meals outside. The backyard is huge and perfect for any and all lawn games.
The property was in a beautiful quiet neighborhood and the lake was in the back yard with a beautiful lawn that you walked down to the waters edge. The 5 grandkids had a blast in the water and the hammock was a big hit with them also. Our children with their spouses had a great time with the kayak's exploring the shoreline. Great deck to sit out to eat meals, read or just relax. The kitchen had many features that accommodated 3 women who put together great meals. There are so many features to talk about such as pool table, library, bedrooms, bathrooms with each bedroom. Great place, looking forward to going back
