Pam & Rick have been married for 25 years and have 4 children and 9 grandchildren. They enjoy restoring old homes, church, and spending time with family & friends.
Pam purchased this house in 2000
We love the charm and character of this huge home, the stain glass windows, the ornate wood work, and the original hardwoods throughout!
Guests have described this home as being remote but close enough to everything the city has to offer.
What a wonderful weekend our family had at your country home with it's massive manicured yard and abundant beds to accommodate 19 people. We could not have found a better place to celebrate our Golden Wedding anniversary with our family. We all loved the outdoors and spent the days outside playing yard games and in the pool. We topped it off with a campfire each night! As we prepared to leave, one of the teenage boys said, can we come back next year?" That sums up the sentiment of the whole group. Thank you! Becky & Al
I rented Pam's Albany location for a 15 man bachelor party this summer. The location was great for access to S&B Tubing and we also rented out the Sugar River Raceway (20 min away) for an afternoon of go karts. Lots of sleeping room, tables for cards, flat screen TVs, huge granite kitchen top, and nice view of river out back window. Pam was easy to work with as well. Perfect rental property for a bachelor party.
We stayed here with a group of friends to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday. What a treat! It was nice and quiet and allowed us all time to relax and reconnect with each other. We drove to Monroe one day and toured Minhas Brewery (highly recommend and look for a Groupon to get the tour for $5 per person.) We ate lunch at Pancho and Lefty's (long wait but delicious) and then visited Flanagan's Shenanigans (shufflboard!!) and Baumgartners for cheese. It was rainy so that is why we drove to Monroe, otherwise we would have stayed at the house and played bags etc outside and enjoyed the nice spring weather. The home easily accommodated the 7 of us and could easily accommodate more. The owner checked in with us to make sure all was OK which was very nice.
We just had 25 guys at this house for my buddy's bachelor party and it was great. Pam was more than helpful and very responsive the entire way. She even went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a place to sleep and ordered PPV for us. Plenty of room both inside and outside, allows you to have fun while avoiding the stress of being too loud. I would recommend this house to any big group looking to get away and hopefully we will return again soon. Thanks again!
We had a great time staying here for a for the weekend with some friends and family. We brought a bunch of food to cook, and luckily the kitchen is HUGE and is stocked with just about everything you could need for utensils/pots/pans etc. Everything in the house was well maintained. The rooms were all very nice. The house itself is really interesting. There are rooms everywhere, with plenty of places for people to gather. And if you have kids, there are plenty of toys and games to keep them busy. We would definitely stay here again, hopefully in the summertime so we can use the pool!
My boyfriend and I came here for a weekend to celebrate our Birthdays. We are from Chicago, so it was not too far (about 2.5 hours). Very secluded location and pretty views. A LOT of space, which we really didn't need, but so nice to have. Owners had the house heated for us when we got there and allowed us to get there earlier than "check in" time, which was really nice. House has a fireplace in the main living area, which made it very cozy; huge kitchen (which we loved); and was fully stocked will all the necessities.
We loved our stay there! Highly recommended.
Great accommodations for our large extended family! The house was clean, spacious and packed full of amenities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook our feast. The game room was huge bonus for the kiddos. The wood burning fireplace really set a holiday mood. We truly enjoyed the country setting especially while sipping coffee and basking in the morning sunshine pouring in the large kitchen windows. What a treat! A big thanks to the owners!
