About Sandy Aguilar

We are a Christian family who love God and love meeting new and interesting people from all walks of life! Our home is about 50 feet away from the rental property, so we're here and available to make sure your stay is relaxing and comfortable.

Sandy Aguilar purchased this chateau / country house in 2011

Why Sandy Aguilar chose Central Coast California

We love the Central Coast of California and are excited to share it with others! This is truly a home away from home. We vacationed in this area for 15 years before moving here and we feel incredibly blessed to now call it our home. We've done a lot of traveling throughout our lives, but feel like we've truly landed in 'God's country' here!

What makes this chateau / country house unique

We are about 10 minutes away from several 'destination spots' in the area, but once you're here, it feels like you're completely away from everything. It is quiet, serene and peaceful!

Our Summer in Arroyo Grande, CA

  • 4 of 5

To escape the Arizona summer heat, my wife, me and our little Pom Goldee, found this wonderful spot in Arroyo Grande on the VRBO website. We phoned and negotiated a visit from July 1st to Mid-September with Sandy and George Agular. Like all VRBO reservations, there is a slight hesitancy about what you see in the pictures and what you find when you arrive so we were very pleased to find Sandy and George's place was just as advertised. Were the accommodations perfect, of course not ( we had a problem with the main refrigeration being downstairs when Happy Hour doings were upstairs) but we managed to survive.

Foggy mornings were wonderful! Great seafood was found at the Cracked Crab in Pismo and an eating experience of much enjoyment, Luna Red in SLO, we highly recommend. Wine tasting trails are within easy driving distance while the Eclair Bakery downtown supplied some great scones. Our trip was cut short due to allergies from the smoke from the summer wild fires (not the Agular's fault) but still a memorable time. Peter Manley

Owner's Response: We enjoyed hosting you! Just to clarify for future guests, there is a fridge/freezer in the kitchen (in the main living area of the house), but it is a hotel sized one. To accomodate guests who need more space than that, we have also provided a full-sized fridge and freezer in the lower level of the house as well. Thanks again for staying with us!

Hidden gem with great view

  • 5 of 5

We went up to the Arroyo Grande area for a wedding. This location was a perfect spot to stay. The house was nice, had very good amenities. The view from the patio was amazing. It is a fairly short drive to several tourist attractions CA missions, San Luis Obispo, Solvang and Hearst Castle, etc). The hostess Sandy was very nice and provided all details needed to make the stay work. The house is very private.

A great place to stay while exploring the central coast

  • 5 of 5

I liked this place for a combination of characteristics. The location is private and out of the way, yet convenient for accessing all of the central coast from Pismo through SLO, Cambria and Paso. The hosts are friendly and helpful, but afford privacy. The site is clean, comfortable and pleasant and the price is reasonable.

Wonderful Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 adults, a baby, and a 3 year old rented this house and it was absolutely perfect. The house had amazing views and was tucked back in the hills so we felt like we really were able to relax and getaway. Sandy was so friendly and accomadating. She was flexible with our arrival time, easy to get a hold of, and offered great suggestions for the area. The house is really well stocked with everything you need so we never ran out of towels, blankets, etc. We really loved our stay and are hoping to come back soon.

Wonderful Property and Wonderful Host!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of five and puppy stayed in this lovely home while attending a family reunion in the close town of Nipomo. We selected this property because of its location. It seems like you are in the country but could get to any destination in no time. It is definitely a quiet coastal-country getaway! The house is comfortable with all the necessary amenities. There is plenty of closet space in the bedrooms, a great laundry area, and comfortable beds with nice linens. The kitchenette is well stocked with the essentials. We stopped at the local Trader Joe's on our way to the house and had all we needed to make breakfast and dinner. We even made brownies in the oven to take to the reunion. There was plenty of room in the house for all of us. I especially liked that the house was clean and well-maintained. The boys loved having board games and DVD's of some of their favorite movies. Our host Sandy was amazing from the initial contact to the last text. I appreciate her kindness, especially in making us feel at home. We all enjoyed our stay in their lovely guesthouse and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending it to our family and friends.

Terrific place to stay in the wine country

  • 5 of 5

Our host was hospitable, efficient, and easy to work with. The house is well appointed. Good kitchen, bedrooms, comfortable beds, plenty of living space, and a great deck overlooking a valley. Quite! If we take another trip to this part of California, we will repeat our stay. All in all an excellent choice!
