From our family to yours; Welcome Back to Limoncello!
We have been coming to the neighborhood for over twenty years and just love it here. One day, we hope to spend our May-September's.
This neighborhood is All-Americana, family-oriented and super-friendly.
We are well-traveled and always stay at cottages or bungalow type places. Our experience with this kind of travel (domestic & foreign) will be felt by guests as
we set things up for your ease of use, comfort and satisfaction.
Everything is ready - just come, chill and stay.
It was such a great place to stay.
Very clean and orderly. Minutes from the beach and ferry.
Minutes to town.
The place has everything you need for a beach getaway.
It was our second time visiting Limoncello and we will be back!
This was our first family vacation, and with two small children I was nervous about how everything would go. I'm happy to report that the Limoncello was a welcomed relief to my anxiety and literal breath of fresh air for our family. The Limoncello was clean, nicely decorated, and had a good supply of kitchen utensils. Our family greatly enjoyed the quick walk to the beach. The bay beaches were not over crowded which was great for the kids. The house is conveniently located, everywhere we wanted to go was in a 10-15 minute car ride away. We would absolutely recommend the Limoncello, and are hoping to schedule again next year. The owners are readily available and extremely nice. Plus they are very organized as well, which I really appreciated, both my husband and I have very hectic work schedules so it was nice to know what to expect, and their lovely welcome letter goes over everything! It was truly a great experience! Can't wait until next year!
Very enjoyable week saying at Limoncello Cottage. Place was clean and the layout and furnishings lived up to pictures on line. It was just the right size for the two of us, although I'm not sure how comfortable it would be with 6 people sharing it. The Owner did a great job providing detailed information prior to the stay, and was very responsive to any questions we had.
The one thing I really took note of was how quiet it was there. People and traffic were almost non-existent. The bay beach is just a short two block walk. We went there in the mornings and would walk close to 3 miles along the beach and would only see about a handful of others. Late morning and into the afternoon there are more people on the beach, but you really have no problem at all finding a spot that's 50 feet or more from anyone else.
The one drawback we found to North Cape May was the minimal amount of grocery stores and restaurants that were either within walking or biking distance, or a short car ride. The few restaurants close by were ok, but not remarkably so. Harpoon Henry's, which is right down the street, was a pleasant surprise. We saw some negative reviews on it so we didn't try it until later in our stay. The food was better then I expected and a fun place to go for super casual dining. One note here though is that, while the rest of North Cape May was far from being crowded, Harpoon Henry's is usually packed and if you get there too late (and by late I'm only taking about 5:30 - 6:00PM) you'll probably have a wait. Go early for the happy hour (between 3:00 and 5:30) and you'll most likely get a seat right away, plus they have a few happy hour deals).
Of course, don't skip watching the sunsets from the beach (no need to go to Sunset Beach). We saw some beautiful ones while we were there.
All in all we had a very pleasant and enjoyable stay, and have no hesitancy in going back again or recommending it to friends, family, or for that matter, anyone.
We had a great stay. Nice bedrooms, living room, spacious dining room and well equipped kitchen. Nice family room in the basement. Quick 1 block walk to the beach (bayside, water temp between 72-75 daily). We went back and forth as we pleased. One evening we went down at 7 pm and stayed until 8:40 when the sun set. It was incredible.
When we had any questions the owner was only an email or phone call a way and ready to help us out. Many wineries and wonderful restaurants all within 10-15 minutes. I could easily recommend this home to others!
As serial beach cottage renters, we were thrilled with our experience at Limoncello. Everything felt fresh, clean, and modern. I got the sense that the owners have outfitted for themselves, rather than as rental: the kitchen is well equipped with nice cookware, the master bedroom has a memory foam mattress, and the house is thoughtfully furnished with comfortable furniture, rather than a collection of grandma's cast-offs. The semi-finished basement made it possible for anyone needing a break from Family Time to indulge their inner introvert for a bit. And the yard is a summer oasis, with the sea in the air, plenty of seating, and lush gardens.
We had a great week, relaxing at the cottage, exploring the bay beach, biking to the Brewery, cruising with dolphins, indulging in blender drinks at sunset at Harpoon Henry's, and making easy jaunts to Wildwood for the boardwalk and Cape May village for big waves, pristine beach, and ice cream cones. It was a perfect week at the beach, with a perfect home base in Limoncello.
Blocks from the Ferry, at the edge of the bay, hear it from the yard while BBQ or 1 block to the Key West style tiki bar and grille
