Once again we enjoyed our week of staying at the cottage. We had great weather, so inside games were not needed so much. Instead we enjoyed the fishing (!), paddle boat rides, swimming, badminton, Bocce` ball, and croquet, some of which we had brought with us. A couple of us also strolled through downtown Dowagiac. Thanks for the great opportunity to be by the lake enjoying nature and the amenities the cottage has to offer.
My husband and I with our two adult daughters and our son-in-law enjoyed every moment of our stay at the cottage. It is clean and comfortable and has everything needed to relax. We launched our small motor fishing boat from the property. We caught fish (and released). The lake activity is quiet and allowed us take in the natural surroundings. We went into St. Joe one day and walked thru downtown Dowagiac. We can't wait to return.
This is a great place to go if you are looking for peace and quiet. The house is nice with the sunroom which was great for one of the mornings it was raining along with the game room in the pole barn. The pedal boat was great to go around the lake with the kids. The only down fall is no swimming off the property (but it also states this in the description so this was not a surprise).
Clean, Quiet area, only missing a fishing boat, they fished from canoe, but that is hard to do. WE did catch fish, and ate them ! this house was great, loved the screened porch, spent every evening out there, watching the lake. Lots of space, fun things in game room for kids, land is plenty, wish we could swim here, lake is clear, you can see the fish. We had a great time!
Exactly what we all needed. The paddle boats and canoe kept our girls happy and the fishing was amazing. Caught over 300 fish in 4 days including some of the biggest bluegill, sunfish, perch and crappie I have ever seen. Can catch fish anywhere in the lake but a few areas yielded amazing outings. Have to find those yourself. :) Highly recommend. The little things that cabin had made it so easy to get along away from home and relax in the peaceful surroundings.
Scott and Laura are awesome awesome people. They were extremely accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. This is the second time we have stayed at this home and it was a great guys weekend. Thanks again!
