We envisioned spending this past Christmas in a snow covered lodge, fireplace roaring, playing games around the dining room table while drinking wine, and eating well. That is exactly what we got with this beautiful vacation home. It accommodated our large family comfortably and had amenities that far exceeded our expectations - the cooking supplies were plenty and of high quality and cozy throw blankets could be found throughout the home. The built-in wine cooler/rack was a nice touch as well.
The lodge is close enough to Mt. Baker that we were able to spend a day sledding/snowboarding with the family and spent minimal time in the car before warming up next to a fire once again. Although there isn't any cable in the home (there is a DVD player and TV upstairs in the loft - mostly to entertain the kids) there is a bar/restaurant within walking distance to catch Seahawks games, which we definitely took advantage of the weekend we were there!
Long story short, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away to the mountains and relax with friends and/or family.
Amazing house and beautifully decorated. We had a large group staying and we were all able to sleep comfortably. Plenty of room for everyone to hangout and have a great time. The hot tub was a great addition and we used it everyday after skiing. I would recommend this to any large group that is looking for a get away. If we every do this vacation again we will certainly book this place again.
We very comfortably had 10 adults for a family reunion at the Grand Lodge and had plenty of space. The kitchen is very convenient for large meals and the table sat everyone comfortably. The hot tub was wonderful as well. I would definitely recommend this beautiful Lodge to anyone with a large group.
Our family had a wonderful time at the chalet. The pictures were an accurate representation of the inside and outside. The scenery around the home was spectacular and skiing was perfect. What fun to be in the large hot tub enjoying a hot beverage watching the snow come down! The home was well equipped with everything we needed. The family wants to come back in the spring/summer to hike Mount Baker. Would definitely recommend this property for all seasons.
Awesome vacation home for a group of 3 to 4 families. Everything is in place for a comfortable holiday. :)
We knew it was a good decision when we pulled in the driveway. Home was inviting inside and out. Clean and modern, the perfect property to return to after day hiking in the Mt. Baker Highway corridor. We had six adults and still had plenty of room to spare. Would certainly return to on future trips to the area.
