The house and property are beautiful and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

This property is perfectly situated to allow all our family to go and see all that Holland has to offer! Just a few minutes drive to several beaches, wineries, downtown shopping, Dutch Village! It was the perfect place to accommodate all our family members and celebrate several milestones! The yard provided tons of space to play corn hole, throw a frisbee, play a game of whiffle ball, or just relax on the deck to visit and watch the beautiful sunsets! When it was time to go inside, the house had ample space and we gathered in the basement to play games, enjoy some snacks...or hang out in the very well stocked kitchen/dining room and share stories from the day. The bedrooms were so comfortable and had ample space. So many great memories were made and we plan to come again. We highly recommend this property if you’re a large family/group looking for a comfortable place to stay!

Nice property and our stay was great. The contrary property owner tainted our experience.

  • 2 of 5

Our family enjoyed a great week together and on our last evening and in the morning of our departure everyone pitched in and cleaned up and put things back in order. I was shocked when over a week after our stay Amy, the owner, sent me an email to say that "unfortunately since we didn't clean up after ourselves she was withholding part of our security deposit." We had followed the procedures as stated in our rental agreement and that were posted in the house but it seemed she expected us to do things above and beyond and that in our experience are the responsibility of a cleaning crew. So I would suggest if you rent this property you come prepared to be her cleaning crew or she will withhold your security deposit.

Owner's Response: I'm glad you had a great time on our property, however when we as owners have to spend 13 hours cleaning. (not including laundry). We thought keeping only $100 out of the security deposit was generous and fair. We are very clear in our rental agreement and with notes in the house. But in the future we will try to clarify even more what is expected.

Large Farmhouse, Beautiful Land

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay at this old farmhouse! We had 7 adults and 5 small children and we had plenty of room to spread out, sleep, eat and hang out! The kitchen is really well equipped and we loved the large dining room table. The trampoline was a big hit and we spent many hours playing outside and then sitting around the fire pit at night, making s'mores. There is so much to do in the area - we particularly loved Pier Cove Beach and checking out the cute stores in Saugatuck. This home really is great for multigenerations!

Nice spacious place to stay.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time. We had four generations staying at the house. It was great to have two refrigerators. The basement was large enough for the family to play board games and watch TV.

Spacious, well kept, modern amenities

  • 5 of 5

This was the ideal location our week-long family vacation in western Michigan. There were 20 of us altogether -- 10 adults (5 couples) and 10 children total. The house was spacious, well-kept, and had modern amenities, and we were all very comfortable throughout the week. I had made the arrangements and throughout the week the others complimented me on the find as it met our needs perfectly.

The 10 children, ranging in age from 1-10, had a ball on the spacious grounds and this was a highlight for all of us -- seeing the cousins run around and have a great time. The space was such a great asset during the vacation as it allowed everyone to stretch out and run around. We took advantage of the space to fly kites, play kickball, have massive water fights, and much more.

The location was also ideal. We were not too far from Holland and lake Macatawa -- a very charming area. We were minutes from beach accesses on Lake Michigan; and we were a short drive away from other choice destinations such as Saugatuck and South Haven. Another win from the week was visiting nearby fruit farms -- we picked tons of cherries and blueberries and the kids loved it. So did the adults -- we consumed at least a dozen fresh-made pies during the week and still brought home bags of frozen berries.

All in all a great week -- would definitely look here first in the future and recommend my friends.
