WEST FALMOUTH- Spacious home in beautiful hilltop setting with distant views surrounded by lovely grounds on a large parcel affording much privacy. There is an abundance of living space in this 3-story, 5-bedrooms, 5 1/2 bath contemporary home with flexible floor plan, 2 kitchens, decks, porch, patio, 2 outside showers and a circular driveway with ample parking. This is an absolutely perfect vacation spot for a family gathering or summer retreat.
The property is off the beaten path in West Falmouth, yet near to Chapoquoit Beach, Woodneck Beach and Old Silver Beach - all just a short drive or bike ride away and some of the most popular beaches in Falmouth. It is also near the Chappy Grill for dinner and great wood-fired pizza, West Falmouth Market for all your grocery needs, Ice Cream Shop and just a few miles to downtown Falmouth and its terrific shops, restaurants and ferry to Marthas Vineyard.
Don't forget only a 7/10ths of a mile from this rental home is another great way to enjoy the summer by taking advantage of the Shining Sea Bicycle Path. The Shining Sea Bikeway skims along the coast from Falmouth to Woods Hole and then beyond to North Falmouth, meandering along the Vineyard Sound shoreline.

We rented the house for a week in August. It was a big house with lots on land. So it was great to sit on the deck to enjoy the peace and quiet. The interior is a bit dated, but clean overall.
The house was close to Woodshole (3 mi), to downtown Falmouth, grocery store, and to the bike path (1 mi). Not many places to eat nearby. If you enjoy low key and quiet, this location is perfect.
The house itself could've been better. There really are only 3 usable bedrooms. 2 were in the basement that was dark and muggy. There were only 2 double beds, rest were single. One couple had to sleep in seperate beds.
Internet connections sucked. Because the house was so big, you could only get connections if you were in the bedrooms.
When we checked-in @ 3pm, the cleaning crew was just arriving to clean-up. RE firm should've coordinate this better. It was an annoying start.
Nonetheless, we had a great vacation. If the owners fixed up the basement bedrooms, expanded the Internet connections and employed a customer-focused RE firm, this would be a great house.
