About this property

The Moose Meadow Cabin

Embark on your next adventure and explore the best that Alaska has to offer! Enjoy our cozy cabin, located on 5 acres of Alaskan wilderness. Our listing is for you to enjoy all to yourselves!

The Moose Meadows Cabin is conveniently located just outside of Wasilla in Meadow Lakes, AK.

The cabin has all the modern amenities and utilities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Living room is furnished with a sofa, 55” Smart TV, home theater system, DVDs and games to keep you entertained.

The living room opens up to the kitchen and in the transition you can find a dining table against the wall with seating for 4. The dining table can either be left against the wall or moved to the kitchen depending on how you would like to set up your seating arrangements. Due to the open concept of the living room and kitchen, there is ample space for an additional queen size air bed if needed. A self inflating mattress and extra bedding is available for guests to use.

Kitchen is fully stocked to cook up and enjoy any meal that you are craving. 4-burner range, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, ice maker, dishwasher, blender, crockpot, toaster, baking sheets, mixing bowls, and much more. If there’s anything you need for your stay, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us and we can verify if we have it.

The bedroom has a queen size bed, dresser, and closet. You will also find art on every wall of the room. Black out curtains have been installed to help with getting some shuteye in the summer months.

The bathroom was fully remodeled Fall of 2022 and it is surprisingly modern and contemporary for a quaint cabin in the woods. Stone floors, chair height toilet, and a full size tub are just a few of the features.

In the closet adjacent to the kitchen is a full size washer and dryer that is open for guests to use throughout your trip.

When you’re inside of the cabin, you’ll quickly notice the biggest selling point is the view. Nature is constantly trying to lure you outside. The cabin sits on a small incline overlooking a wild Alaskan landscape. The rental of the cabin includes private access to the 5 acres of land the cabin sits on. You will NOT be sharing the property with the owner or any other guests. You’ll have the place entirely to yourself. There is a fire pit, a dog run for your furry friends, an outdoor shower, game trails, plenty of trees to put up a hammock and relax, wild blueberries, alpine strawberries, raspberries, wild hare, and moose that frequent the property.

10 minutes from Wasilla or Big Lake. 30 minutes from Hatcher Pass, Palmer, or Nancy Lake. 1 hour to Anchorage or Talkeetna. And 3 hours to Denali National Park. The cabin is located just 1.8 miles off of the Parks Highway.

Guests have access to the cabin and the 5 acres of land the cabin sits on. The house manual will include an aerial view of the property to illustrate the boundaries of the property. Please be respectful of neighboring properties and do not wander onto adjacent properties even if they are not clearly marked. Entry way closet, attic, and crawlspace are off limits to all guests. There will likely be a covered car stored in the driveway that is also off limits to guests.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to the owner/host, or co-hosts at anytime if you have any questions or concerns throughout your stay. We can be reached either through the Airbnb app or by texting/calling the phone numbers listed in the house manual. We will not physically be on the property at any point during your stay. If you notice any strange activity or people on the property, please notify us immediately.

The property is located in a rural neighborhood. There is only one visible neighbor from the Cabin and we have a shared driveway with that neighbor. Please be mindful of neighboring properties. Overall, the neighborhood is very peaceful and everyone tends to be mindful of each other’s privacy and peace of mind.

There’s a grocery store, gas station, coffee hut, laundromat, and pizza restaurant just 1.8 miles down the road and the Parks Highway intersection.

There is also parking for 3 vehicles at the cabin. To reach the cabin, you will have to drive down a shared driveway. The shared driveway is NOT part of the property. Please do not park any vehicles along the first half of the driveway before the fork. Only park at the cabin.

The cabin is limited to how many guests it can accommodate inside, but renters are welcome to invite additional guests to camp outside on the property as long as it is arranged and approved in advance. There are outdoor power outlets and an outdoor shower with hot water for convenient camping. However, no parties or events of any kind are allowed.
