Rustic yet cheery cabin built in 1872 is 2 blocks from downtown. GV has activities such as the arts, street fairs, and trails. This cozy cabin has lots of light and everything you need to relax/unplug from daily living and relax in the country. One bedroom has a queen bed with a soft memory foam topper. There is a full sleeper sofa in the living room ( memory foam topper stored in closet). One bath has a claw foot bathtub and the other bath has a shower (tankless water heater). This is a pet friendly cabin.
The stove is gas and you will find pots and pans in the cabinet. The back porch is a quiet space to read or enjoy a cup of tea. As noted this cabin in the country is historical almost 150 years old so you may find some older yet charming features. We have an ac unit in the summer for the bedroom/ living room and a gas fire place in the winter. There is no TV as this is a sanctuary to unplug and we encourage you to explore the town and its rural setting. The seclusion and surroundings are part of its attraction and nature is always trying to reclaim it. It’s deep cleaned after each stay but you still might find a spider web. It’s country living!
Pets are welcome! Dog crate in the laundry room.
The cabin is conveniently located in a quiet street and has a separate/private driveway. The front door is opened using an unique access code that is provided the day of arrival. There is a closed off room not available to guests that is used as a therapy office.
