A log home with elegance and class. The home was designed and built by the owners, It offers unparallelled views from ever window and deck in the home. The Great room has open beams and tongue and groove ceilings with huge windows that face Grand Canyon and the Kaibab Plateau.

The home has three levels with bedrooms on each one. The loft which over looks the great room has two queen size beds and a bathroom with shower and two vanities. A true balcony open to the North for a majestic view of the Vermilion Cliffs, especially at day break. The master bedroom is on the main floor, A spacious bedroom, plus a smaller one and another bathroom are on the ground floor. This floor is has a walkout to the fenced lawn and driveway. This is our primary access to the house. The kitchen is modern full stocked, with a Jen-air range in the island counter, so that while cooking one can be 'with' the group. The main bathroom has a 'jacuzzi' type tub and front loading washer and dryer.

The home has a 30 ' long deck that has a view of nearly 100 miles From the Majestic Vermilion Cliffs to the Grand Canyon. You will love watching the sundown shadows climb the Vermilion Cliffs.

This is our home. We designed, built and nurtured it for 25 years. We think you will appreciate the 'homey' atmosphere that is here. It is not a commercially acquired property.

You have the world to yourself, The nearest neighbors are hardly visible from the home.

A fantastic house with everything a large group could need. Close to everything

We stayed here from 6-13-17 to 6-20-17. What a wonderful large log cabin with everything a large family of 8 needed. Went to Zion, the wave, grand canyon, coral sand dunes and many local trails and Best Friends. All close by. This is the perfect house to return to and play games outside, grill and watch the wildlife in the yard. Humming birds just off the deck and rabbits and roadrunners just south of the deck. The sun rise in the morning on the deck with a cup of coffee and listening to the water fall in front of the house is spectacular. Cant say enough about how great this house is. Will be back for sure. Thanks for sharing this house. Dave

Great place, Great hosts!! absolutely loved it!

This is an awesome house, clean, very big (Great design and style!), beautiful location, nice view, quiet place but a short drive to the town center and big supermarket (and more important - just in the middle between Bryce canyon and Grand canyon!).

The living room and kitchen are very large, there is one room on the entrance floor, the upstairs gallery level has two double beds and a futon, and downstairs there are 1.5 more rooms, as well as a few toilets and a shower around the house. And, of course, a great big balcony!

Frank was very kind, replied email immediately, and sent in a few hours someone to fixed a little problem that we had.

we can't wait to visit again!

Frank and Ivy, We absolutely loved your home and we would stay there again. The house was charming, cozy and the accommodations were great. The beds were comfortable, lots of sinks for everyone and the outside terrace lovely. The kitchen was well equipped with comfortable cooking areas and 15 minutes to grocery stores. The location was good for Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce and Zion. Thank you again for sharing your home. The Jacobs family.

Beautiful home, spectacular views, perfect location!

We were so very lucky to find this beautiful home to stay in for 9 days while we adventured through Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon, Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell. There was plenty of space for our family of 6! The deck was the best, even during a late afternoon storm. The thunder echoing throughout the mountains, the vibrant rainbows, the scent of the pines, was awesome! The only problem... my teenage boys now want a moose head mounted in our home. This house was the perfect feel for our western vacation. Now if we could take some of that nice dry heat back to Florida with us, that would be great!

Wonderful house for the family

We stayed there with our five children and they loved the place… Disney movies, Rockinghorse, kitchen playset, pack and play, highchair, and all the essentials for them were there! Very comfy king size bed in the master suite and a big deck to enjoy the sunrise and sunset. We stayed on the Fourth of July and had a great view of the fireworks as well downtown. A perfect place to see the Grand Canyon in national parks in Utah… Would come again!

Perfect place to stay for exploring SW Utah & NW Arizona...AND watch sunrise from the deck!

We loved this home! Frank and Ivy were very responsive from the start, getting back to me quickly with emails and phone calls when I first inquired about staying in their home, as well as checking in with us after our arrival.

We are a multi-generational family of 10 (ranging in age from 9 to 71...5 adults/5 kids) that traveled to the Southwest for our first time. Frank and Ivy's home is beautiful, well maintained and has stunning views. The house had everything we needed...the third floor loft was just right with plenty of sleeping space for all 5 kiddos, three bathrooms made for no lines, the kitchen was well organized and labeled making it easy to work in, the beds were extremely comfortable, the washer and dryer came in handy and the deck was a great place to hang out (and it's well worth getting up early to watch the sunrise from!)

If you have never been to Kanab, UT you will find it has A LOT to offer...and we only took advantage of a small portion of what is in the area. Right in Kanab is the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (call about free tours), Little Hollywood (free museum of a mock movie had a great time running around pretending they were in old western movies) and in the summer months a wonderful Farmer's Market which we stumbled upon. Within a 1 - 2 hour drive you can be at Zion, Bryce Canyon, rafting on the Colorado River out of Page, AZ, and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon (just to name a few.) Frank and Ivy's home is a perfect jumping off place to these and many other sights in the area.

For the kiddos (and adults) there were plenty of movies and games to play at the house. Also, there is a small grassy yard below the deck that our kids played in at times. They would have liked to be able to explore around the outside of the house more, but, our Northeastern lack of experience with the Southwestern rattlesnake made us adults fearful to let them freely explore the area. So the fact that Frank and Ivy request that guests do not climb the hill behind the house (since the land is owned by the neighbor) helped reinforced our desire to keep the kids from roaming.

All 10 of us give Frank and Ivy's house a thumbs up...I even thought of asking them for first right of refusal should they decide to ever sell!!! ;>)
