The Estate combines old world charm with modern conveniences of high-speed Internet throughout, home theatre, and music sound system. The fabulous down-island view includes 850-acre unspoiled Guana Island, Little Camanoe, the Dogs and Sir Richard Branson's Necker Island. On a clear night you can even see the lights of Anegada. The sugar white sands of Josiah’s Bay are off to the right, and Rogues Point to the left. The main floor of the house has a full kitchen with granite countertops, formal dining room, living room with entertainment center, and laundry; go up the stair tower to the office and master bedroom. European craftsmen were flown in to install the Romanian tile that flows through the villa inside and out.
Bedrooms (3 - 5):
There are four air conditioned bedrooms all with custom made mahogany furniture - all bedrooms are with ensuite bathrooms. The Office also has a Murphy bed. The Master Bedroom has a King Size bed, and the other bedrooms have Queen size European style pillow-top plush mattresses. The Master Bedroom and Office are on the second floor. The main floor has two bedrooms - each of these has a small balcony for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or evening drink. The five beds will sleep 10, plus there are two Queen size air mattresses in case the kids or friends need a little more sleeping room.
Whether you need to check in with work, or do some inspirational writing this is the office and view we all wish we had. A custom made mahogany L-shaped desk, and high-speed Internet - just bring your laptop or iPad. The Office includes a queen-size wall bed. The wall bed includes storage units for hanging and folded clothes.
There are four full bathrooms (3 showers, 1 bathtub/shower), one powder room, one Gazebo powder room, plus two outdoor showers by the pool deck.
The Living Room has a 22’ x 12’ covered porch with access to the pool deck. The Master Bedroom has a private 22’ by 12’ covered porch with exterior stairs that take you down to the pool deck. There are also two smaller open air porches off the two bedrooms on the main level.
With sunshine, blue skies and a turquoise ocean as a backdrop, the bi-level pool deck is the place to be! There is a gas grill for BBQing, and a covered Gazebo for al fresco dining that overlooks the infinity pool. Nestled down at the opposite end of the house is a quiet “Place in the Rocks” - a hand-made native stone patio built at the base of several huge boulders.
Even though islands are for getaways and relaxing, we have incorporated high technology into the villa for those that need to stay connected. Dedicated Internet access provides wireless access throughout the villa. There is a flat-screen 55” TV, PS3 / Blu-ray player, and home theatre surround sound available in the Living Room. We are travelers by nature, and have traveled the world … Europe, Asia, South America, and have fallen in love with the Caribbean. The turquoise waters off Tortola are ever changing and captivating. The warm sunshine, sparkling water, and white sand beaches just sing to our souls!
Karen purchased this villa in 2011
This island is one of the most beautiful places on earth, and when we saw the view from this property – we jumped at the chance to buy it. We are uniquely situated just 10 minutes from Road Town, yet we are over the hill on the north side of Tortola, down a quiet road, away from the cruise ships, overlooking the most spectacular view imaginable.
Lounge at the Infinity pool, read a book on the nearby sugar sand beaches, boogie board in the waves, take the ferry over to Virgin Gorda and all the neighboring islands. Swim every morning, eat huge Anegada lobsters for lunch, enjoy a fresh coconut for dessert and watch the sunset with someone you love.
My wife and I, including 2 other couples, stayed at Ana Capri for 6 nights in December 2016. The amenities and setting of Ana Capri is simple "perfect". The photos on the website are very accurate. Karen, the owner, did everything possible to make sure we were comfortable before, and even during, our stay. We were greeted by the property manager and our driver (Godfrey) at our arriving ferry. We were taken to Ana Capri and given a tour of the home. A cell phone is provided in case we need to contact anyone on the island during our stay.
We're definitely not the type of travelers to want to just sit around and relax where ever we go. We'd eat breakfast at the home in the morning and then we'd venture out to other BVI islands (Norman, Jost Van Dyke, and Virgin Gorda) or a nearby beach (Our favorite beach was Josiah's) to surf and play during the day. After realizing that restaurants can be quite pricey in BVI, we opted to use the provided Weber gas grill at Ana Capri and make our own dinner and drinks. We'd normally eat dinner outside on the patio next to the pool and under the full moon. The local grocery store (about 10-15 minutes away) has everything that you need. Our group has traveled several times together. Ana Capri and BVI is the ONLY place that everyone was in agreement that they'd come back to revisit in the future. We were originally considering renting a yacht for our entire stay in BVI for a real adventure, but after some concerns from the wives, we opted to stay at Ana Capri instead. That decision couldn't have been better.
I would certainly recommend staying at Ana Capri Estate. We'd love to bring our kids back next time.
What a beautiful place to stay! The Villa was extremely comfortable and the view was outstanding. Attention has been given to every detail and comfort. Karen was very accommodating and helpful with our arrangements. I would recommend a stay at AnaCapri Estate!
My parents were looking for a very special and memorable place to celebrate 2 big birthdays and they couldn't have chosen a more perfect location! We had 3 adults and 4 teenagers on this special trip and we were literally speechless when we pulled into the driveway of AnaCapri Estate. As soon as we walked through the wrought iron gate we felt like we had transported to one of the most beautiful houses we have ever stayed at on a vacation. We toured the house with a very friendly greeter and quickly realized that everything we could possibly need or want was already in the house and on the property. The kitchen was absolutely gorgeous and we used it many more times than we thought we would because it was so well-equipped with everything that you would find in your own kitchen. The dining room and great room areas were stunning and we soon found ourselves having a wonderful time and making memories around the table. The bedrooms were magnificent and very spacious. My kids loved having their own space and got a kick out of having their own decks to sit on and relax. One of our favorite spots was either by the infinity pool or the covered deck off of the great room, where we could take in the breathtaking views and the fantastic ocean breeze. We never felt like we actually needed to leave the house - some days we didn't and sat by the beautiful pool and just listened to music and stared out at the views that you would see in a magazine. We did venture out to some of the beaches and many times felt like we literally had our own beach. Our favorites were Lava Flow and Trunk Bay - getting to them was a fun story in itself but absolutely worth it! We also took the ferry to Virgin Gorda and had a fun time exploring with the kids at Devil's Cay and then having a delicious lunch overlooking The Baths. We met a wonderful couple at dinner one night who ended up taking us out on their sailboat, to places that we never would have seen on our own. The snorkeling was amazing and the day was just another wonderful memory we have from our special trip. Usually at the end of a vacation we are ready to leave but we truly were not ready to leave this beautiful piece of paradise.
From a Grandfathers' perspective:
We do a family vacation in the Caribbean every 2 years for 10 people - Mary and I, 2 sons, 1 daughter with 3 children - 9 - 14-18 years old.
Our previous destinations include Puerto Rico and St Maarten. We went to Tortola/Ana Capri in April 2016 and brought the kids aunt and uncle making 12 people. All of us like the beach and beach type excursions. We rented 3 jeeps for the group. The villa offered both privacy and large common areas to accommodate all.
Ana Capri was awesome for our family and preferences. I will never forget the view from the villa of BVI and beaches below.
It would take too long to list the villa highlights, so I will just list the negatives - NONE - You read the amenities and know you have everything. We used the kitchen extensively with plenty of room to enjoy dinners for 12 people Te'a planned the dinners of whether buffet or sit down while adults enjoyed view and beverages.
We did the following family trips while there:
1) Chartered water taxi to Virgin Gorda and rented a Safari truck to tour the island - Baths, Hog Heaven, and ended up at Michael Beans pirate show in Leverick Bay
2) Chartered catamaran for snorkeling on Jost Van Dyke, and visited - Soggy Dollar, and Foxies (5 star day)
3) Swim with the dolphins
4) A day at Cane Garden Bay - paddle boarding swimming, beach bars :),.....
5) Visit other great beaches on island - Smugglers was a favorite
Our trip to Ana Capri was awesome. The family will have great memories forever.
My Granddaughters perspective:
We loved staying at AnaCapri Estate on Tortola!
We really liked the infinity pool and the view. We also liked getting up early and watching the sunrise.
We liked going on the balcony and watching the boats go by.
We loved having the space downstairs to hang out.
On the rainy day we really liked having all the puzzles and games to play. Sydney(14) and Te’a (9)
My family stayed at AnaCapri Estate June, 2016. We had 8 adults and 2 children in our party.... plenty of room for everyone! The beds, with their lovely lace-trimmed sheets, were so cozy and comfortable. Each couple had their own beautifully decorated bedroom/bathroom suite, complete with it's own private porch and/or balcony with an incredible view! Every bedroom also has it's own individual remotely controlled AC for additional sleeping comfort. The common areas of the house are also amazing with beautiful arches, columns, beamed ceilings, Italian floor tiles and windows all around. The kitchen is equipped with everything we could have possibly wanted to fix our own great family meals. And there is also plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. Karen, the owner, was so helpful and thought of everything down to the smallest detail. There are plenty of books, DVDs, video games and pool toys for the kids.... even snorkel gear and a cooler for picnics! The grounds of the estate are beautifully maintained with stone walkways to several private sitting areas amid lush tropical greenery. Being from Florida, we were prepared for an extremely hot, humid climate and lots of bugs! I packed several types of bug repellent for the trip, but we never needed it. No problems at all with gnats, mosquitoes or any other types of bugs! And the beautiful, constantly blowing sea breezes made sitting outside a pure pleasure. There are several beaches within walking distance of the estate. Our favorite was Lava Flow beach with it's pure white sand and secluded location. It was like a little piece of heaven we had all to ourselves! There is lots to do on Tortola just a short driving distance from the estate. But our favorite thing was just hanging out by the pool or on a porch, preparing meals together, and dancing to Latin music. Oh, and we learned how to make our own Pain Killers... a real tropical delight! :-) I would whole-heartedly recommend AnaCapri Estate to anyone looking to plan their next family getaway! It was an amazing week for me and my family, and where we made beautiful memories together that we'll share for a lifetime.
We stayed at the AnaCapri Estate June, 2016 - my wife and I and three teenagers. It could handle many more - everyone had their own room with a big bed, and we had an extra bedroom for an office. The estate is remote - you'll feel like it's your own little portion of an island. Yet the town is easily accessible - only a 10 minute drive away. A perfect blend. Beaches are all reasonable drives away, and while we enjoyed several (the deserted ones are best or the one with the resort), nothing beat simply laying in the pool and staring out at the bay.
The pictures for the property can't convey the beauty or the quality of the property and the surroundings. The view while laying in the infinity pool is simply breathtaking. The bedrooms are all great, and having a separate apartment down below is perfect for a surly teenager that needs their space. The property has air conditioning in the bedrooms but if you leave the windows open and enjoy the breezes you don't need it anywhere in the house, including the bedrooms. And the wireless sound system was a perfect touch.
If you want a quiet vacation, or one full of activities - you can have it all at AnaCapri Estate. Relax at the pool with a book, and enjoy the incredible ocean view. Or, if you seek excitement and fun - try kiteboarding at nearby The Bitter End. Walk down the hill to see the old fort ruins, or snorkel in the crystal clear bay waters. With so many beautiful beaches all around the island, you can visit a new one each day! Come and visit one of the most beautiful Caribbean spots you'll ever discover...AnaCapri Estate.
