Fran and I are both in the aviation industry, and plan on spending more time down here when we retire. We have kids and grandkids that love to come down here and enjoy Nana and Pops beach house.
George purchased this Cottage in 2010
Why George chose Mexico Beach
George had to work down here several years ago, and we fell in love with the beautiful views, slow pace, and friendly atmosphere. We live in Atlanta and try to get down here every long weekend that we can. Now we have our own place right here on the beach that we would like to share with 'Yall'.
What makes this Cottage unique
First and formost you will enjoy the view. You can wake up or fall asleep listening to the waves and actually see the water from bed that is less than 100 yards away. Then you will enjoy the fun, friendly, slower paced atmosphere of Mexico Beach. We love morning walks, and sunset strolls on the beach. There are several beach pubs and resturants that are within walking distance, or short ride. You can fish right on the beach in front of the house, go down to the pier, or go out for a 1/2 or full day fishing charter. Or you can go for a bike ride around Mexico Beach. (Bike, fishing polls, beach chairs and umbrellas are all furinshed with the cottage.) Within 30 minutes you can be in Appalacheecola bay, Cape Sand Blas, or Panama City. Scalloping is also fun when in season. You can also enjoy some of the worlds best oysters in this area.

Enjoyed the property; just what we needed for a wonderful week.
Enjoyed the VIEW; the SHORT walk to the beach (within a rock throw from the cottage). Enjoyed having the beach ALMOST exclusively with perhaps two couples within a 100 yards. I communed with The Lord...was refreshed...and even consider now living in Mexico Beach. George, thanks for making your cottage available. God bless.
Ralph....I'm so glad y'all enjoyed our "Little piece of Paradise"...I see you were bit by the same thing that won our hearts to this place. Thank you for the wonderful review...and we look forward to sharing our place with y'all again soon.
The property was even better than expected!
We absolutely loved our stay in this cottage! The short walk to the beautiful beach & the fire pit at night hearing the waves crashing was wonderful. Such a comfortable rental. We hope to go back again.
Clean, comfortable, and conveniently located in this laid back north Florida beach town. Awesome views of the Gulf from indoors and out with only a short stroll to the pristine white sand beach. If you are a seafood fan, the local restaurants and bars will keep you busy sampling their exceptional menus. The property is a duplex, but we rarely noticed our neighbor, and the neighborhood was generally quiet during our stay.
The views from Isle of View are spectacular. You open the doors to the sunroom and there it is: the Gulf of Mexico. There is a road between Isle of View and the gulf but it doesn’t take long to overlook that and enjoy the rolling surf over the top of the grassy dune and drink in the remarkable sunsets. The beach is beautiful. The unit is laid out well for easy living and the kitchen is well equipped. The stove wants updating and there is no dishwasher. The living room furniture could be updated but it is clean and in good condition. The two bedrooms and two baths are accommodating. We very much enjoyed our time there.
Thank you for the nice Review...yes the view is awesome...and the laid back atmosphere...is Wonderful....upgrades to our cottage is in order...and will be done this fall....looking forward to sharing our place with y'all again soon.
Relax, Relax, Relax
A great place to relax without big city hassles. The cottage has everything required for a rental (plus extras). The locals are very friendly and helpful and have a variety of restaurants (some don't accept credit cards). George, the owner, responded quickly to any questions or issues we had. Highway 98 is a busy route that distracts the sound of the gulf surf, but when down at the beach there is no traffic noise. Thank You George for the stay and when we take a Florida trip we will not hesitate to call you!

Isle of View
Great vacation cottage! We loved the glassed in screen room and spent every morning there drinking coffee and watching the ocean. The kitchen is very well equipped, and the beds were so comfortable. We loved the location and had the beach to ourselves most days. We will definitely be back. Thanks George !
