About Jon

I'm a UVM grad living in Hinesburg, love vermont hope you do too.

Jon purchased this house in 2004

Why Jon chose Burlington

Super convenient great view backyard. This apartment is in a city so it can be noisy. Things quiet down pretty much around 10.

What makes this house unique

The yard the view.

Gorgeous!

  • 5 of 5

The location is amazing--- walkable to downtown Burlington, Battery Park, Church Street marketplace, restaurants, the Burlington Waterfront, and Ben & Jerry's, to name just a few! The house is sweet-- well equipped, neat and tidy, with super comfy beds. The view of Lake Champlain and the Adirondacks from the backyard/deck can't be beat. We would definitely stay here again.

Room With A View

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for our daughters UVM graduation weekend. The view is spectacular and the accommodations were great. The rooms are a good size for a one floor unit also. We hope to rent here again! Close to downtown area but is located in a quiet neighborhood .

Neat location but not best for small kids

  • 3 of 5

I always put a lot into the reviews when I book a place and we rent often. So I felt compelled to make a few notes.

Pros: nice views, good location for walkability. Toilet paper and paper towels where delivered to our back door during our stay so there was plenty. Keurig with plenty of coffee. Plenty of detergent for washing machine.

Cons: could splurge on washcloths, hairdryer and wine opener! Just simple basic that would be appreciated. The large tree is gone that is pictured and there was a huge hole. The yard basically ends and it's a cliff. Not a big deal but would have been helpful to realize since we had a toddler with us. Prob not the most kid friendly location. Our second night the man upstairs had very loud music playing and there was a lot of loud banging. It was early (8:30pm on a Friday) and the music was maybe an hour and the banging about 30 mins so I don't want to over exaggerate but it was very loud and we were puttting our kids to bed.

The house was warm, close to everything including the bike trail and great view

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed the house and it was perfect for our stay in Burlington. We had parking at the house, but close enough to walk into town pending the weather. The home was clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable to sit around enjoying a cup of coffee looking out over the lake. It was on a quiet street with neighbors who are also very quiet enjoying the serenity of Burlington. The owner was quick to respond with a note to provide insight to the house in-side. We will definitely look to stay at the house again when visiting Burlington. A great restaurant close by is Henry's dinner, who serves breakfast all day long and The Sherpa Kitchen for amazing Himalayan Sherpa food at great prices. If you are an outdoor enthusiast looking for great gear no matter what the sport, you should definitely check out The Outdoor Gear Exchange, it has everything both new and used for all sports. Enjoy your stay!
