We were a group of 15 total—8 adults and 7 kids from 5 to 15 years old. This house was perfect. The pictures are accurate. The kitchen is well-equiped and modern. Everything is new and nice. We loved the stove. We were there for 4th of July weekend and the beach right in front of the house kept the kids busy for hours. We used the boat and stand-up paddle boards a bunch. We had all the kids stay together on the bottom floor where the TV is and adults took the other bedrooms. It worked out perfectly, although one couple ended up in a room with bunk beds. No big deal. The place fit 15 easily, and would have even held more.
Great house, great community. We had zero problems and everyone we encountered either in the town or to negotiate the rental were lovely.
There were four families staying at this cabin, a total of 12 people including kids, and a dog... and it was quite spacious enough. The kitchen was pretty amazing, we were right on the lake... we even managed to rent the UFC fight while there, which was great. But the best thing was really the property management service. So helpful, so responsive. I feel like I had a question for them every other day... and they always helped me. My group is trying to figure out when we can come again... there's a reason this place is so booked up!
We loved this house on Serene Lakes! We rented it for a weekend for family gathering. We had 4 families and everyone had a great time. The boys and kids loved fishing from the paddleboards and canoe. This house is perfect for a large group. We hope to make return trips to this house as a yearly family tradition. Thanks so much!
This is a fantastic property right on the lake. It has a gorgeous view and accomodated our family reunion nicely. Located close to hiking, Truckee and more outdoor activities. Large kitchen that was great to use and the property managers were attentive and easy to work with. Will stay here again for sure!
The Beacon House is an absolutely beautiful lakefront home. We enjoyed five fun filled days, and would highly recommend it to a large family or several families. The house has its own little beach, with a canoe and paddle boards. The home, having been recently remodeled, is gorgeous. The only (minor) issue is that the website description and check-in instructions should probably be looked at for the purpose of updating. For example, it provides a phone number for a landline and there was no landline. Also, checkout instructions state that the garbage should be left in the garage, yet there is a bear-proof garbage receptacle. Minor things, for sure. We enjoyed hiking and long walks, and of course, lots of water time. We were able to be in Truckee for shopping and restaurants in 10-15 minutes.....a small price to pay to be in a SERENE and peaceful place. Well worth the sacrifice of the drive into town.
