There is a gas BBQ grill as well as a patio table and chairs. The lake is steps away and the water is so clear the bottom of the lake can be easily seen. There is a beautiful fire pit for evening bonfires and marshmallow toasting! The house consists of 3 bedrooms, two of which face the lake and are separated by the living room for privacy. My husband Lenny and I purchased this home for our retirement. We have several years till we can accomplish that goal and feel this home is just to nice not to share with others. This is not a typical 'camp', but a warm, well-equipped home. We hope you enjoy this home while we work toward our goal of retirement!
Cathy Miller purchased this house in 2012
There are very few lake homes that offer the kind of privacy and seclusion that this house has to offer. Located at the end of a private road that juts out on a peninsula it has the feel of being the only house on the lake. Rarely can this 'On Golden Pond' setting be found and rarely in a house with modern appointments such as Satellite TV, high speed internet access and a jetted tub in the master suite. This property is truly one of a kind.
Complete privacy, Satellite TV, high speed wireless internet, jetted tub, dock provided, pets considered, screened porch, large deck, views from almost every room. BBQ grill, Fire pit, kayaks provided, fishing gear provided, fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, garage, boathouse.

This is no mere cottage. A beautiful home you would be pleased to live in. The pristine lake is immediately accessible with dock and kayaks. Outdoor seating, deck, and fire-pit were delightful. All very well maintained. Great neighbors. Definitely worth the drive and investment.
The house is large and beautifully maintained and stocked. We were very comfortable. Lots of room for our 1.5 year old to run around and play both indoors and out. The dock and 2 kyaks, large yard and fireplace made for lots of outdoor activities. We spent a lot of time on the small pebble beach by the water playing with our little one. Got a Maine fishing license and my husband caught a lot of fish! There was shopping and restaurants close by, it was a reasonable drive to Acadia which is a MUST visit. There was never an issue finding something to do, whether we wanted to venture out, or just hang out by the Lake. Definitely recommend for a quiet Maine lakefront family vacation. Wish I was back there now :)
Property was well maintained and location was fantastic. Great place to stay and relax yet close to Acadia. Would definitely recommend.
My niece and I stayed at this beautiful house on Green Lake. The first thing that I noticed as I walked through the door was a gorgeous fresh flower arrangement – what a nice touch! The house itself is very, very nice. It has a full kitchen with all the amenities (for those who actually want to cook) and is furnished with very comfortable furniture. All the comforts of home without having to actually be at home. The location is reasonably private and is an easy drive to Acadia if that is your desire. On the other hand, it was also tempting to just stay at the house all day, enjoying the loons from the deck and taking in the beauty of the lake. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a place to unwind and reflect.
We were looking for the perfect quiet lakefront setting to spend the week with our children and grand children. We found it here. First, the house was clean and spacious with everything we needed. It was more than we expected. The house is situated on a nice yard with a pretty good amount of lake frontage. It is surrounded by spruce and fir trees, providing complete privacy while lounging lakeside. The fire pit is perfectly located so you sit in the evening watching the fire with the serene lake as the backdrop. There are so many loons on this lake. We could hear them calling all day and all night. I never saw as many loons before (also bald eagles). We brought our bass boat along. The dock is strong with a good safe depth. We launched at Jenkins Beach for $5 and moored the boat at the dock all week (if you don't have a boat, rent one from Jenkins). The dock is also great for swimming off of. The fishing was excellent. There are landlocked salmon and lake trout in this lake, but we focused on the smallmouth bass. We caught bass over 4 pounds every outing. The bottom structure is gravel and boulders. The water is gin clear and the water temp was 72 the week we were here. The kids went to Acadia several times for hiking, swimming, and one evening of night life. Everything you need in the way of shopping is very close by in Ellesworth. In fact, there were some really nice stores and restaurants there. You can buy bundles of firewood for the pit pretty much everywhere. We were very impressed with the convenience of everything. This vacation rental is perfect if you're looking for peaceful quiet seclusion on a beautiful Maine lake with everything you need to be comfortable.
The house was very comfortable, modern, clean, and well maintained. We spent a lot of time in and on the lake - fishing, swimming, kayaking, boating. Great access to Acadia NP but, this time of year, go early before the crowds gather! Same goes for dinner at most Ellsworth restaurants. We went to and enjoyed the Maine Lumberjack Show and had dinner before it at a seafood and BBQ place just down the road. The meal was great (best restaurant meal we had the whole week) and the show was fun for kids of all ages. Also traveled up to the West Branch of the Penobscot River for whitewater rafting and fishing. That was a great day. I would look forward to visiting this area again and, if and when we do, I would love to stay in this house again!
This lovely lake house is located on the border of Dedham and Ellsworth. Although it can be tough to pull yourself away from the beauty of the lake, there is plenty to do if you want to explore the area. The house is located just 20 miles from Bangor and just 33 miles from Acadia National Park. For those who want to venture to the ocean, Bar Harbor is less than an hour away. . There is lots of shopping in both Bangor and Ellsworth as well as restaurants. There is a place called Jones Lobster Co a few miles from the house that sells fresh Maine lobsters at a very reasonable price. The kitchen includes an extra large lobster pot along with lobster crackers and picks. A short drive down the road is a place called Red Barn where you can get great pizza and ice cream as well as nice souvenirs. There are also antique shops for those who like to go antiquing. Of course, our favorite choice is staying by our beautiful lake!
