I'm a total introvert, but I love getting to know people and doing what I can for them.
I grew up in Chicago and started my professional life in big cities. Then I moved to Maine and fell in love with a simpler country life.
The western sun beckoned and I moved to Silver City. This town has the perfect combination of nature and community.
My work integrates music and healing. I am a performing songwriter who is currently driven to compose music to serve causes and uplift the spirit. I've released four CDs.
I'm an interfaith minister and have married people on this property. My healing work includes shamanism, astrology, yoga and a technique I designed called Heart Lightning Transformational Coaching that quickly removes mental and emotional blocks in as little as one session.
I am fortunate to share my home with a couple of shelter dogs who adopted me.
Azaima Anderson purchased this lodge in 2006
I love its natural setting. You can hike or bike straight out of the front door. The views are lovely. The setting is quiet. The weather is perfect all year. The property is spacious and private.
The rooms are sunny, and climate-controlled, so you can be comfortable in all seasons. You'll have as much privacy as you'd like, but are welcome to enjoy the dogs or take advantage of my healing services.

My husband and I came for a weekend excursion to visit the Gila Cliff Dwellings and Catwalk. We stayed for the weekend and we enjoyed our stay here. The quietness and scenery that surrounded us was great. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The amenities it provided was perfect for our stay. Our host, Azaima, was very friendly and inviting, not to mention very knowledgeable of the area. We definitely recommend to others and will be back again. Thank you for a great weekend.
Azaima was flexible, kind and welcoming. The dogs were a major added bonus, and the space and surrounding land were lovely. Thank you!
Beautiful mountain setting. The views are phenomenal from every window. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and watched the storms in the distance. We saw deer on the property every day we were there. Very cozy and clean. I was surprised at how short of a distance from downtown Silver City we were. I would definitely stay again.
The rooms were very comfortable and roomy for our short stay. The outside deck was welcoming each morning, so that I could drink my coffee with a view. The kitchen was stocked with needed items and utencils. The welcoming from the dogs was a bonus since my dog was left behind. I would love to return again.
We had a great relaxing time at your lovely place.
Kids loved to play with the dogs, nice views from the upper level - relaxed atmosphere.
We actually really enjoyed our time at this property in Silver City. It is a bit out of town, but the deck and sunsets were fantastic. The beds were comfortable, and the swamp coolers worked great! The kitchen is pretty small (only used it to toast bagels for breakfast because there's definitely not room to make a REAL meal there).
Just be forewarned if you have more than 2 people. If you've got just the 2, it's a fantastic deal. but can almost double the price of your stay if you use all 4 sleeping spaces. Which is crazy talk.
The Gila cliff dwellings are the main attraction, a spectacular drive away. On the same drive, you can check out the Gila hot springs and the Gila River that still runs wild here, despite efforts to divert it. The City of Rocks state park has some beautiful and unique formations. The Silver City museum will give you an idea of the town's history, in which Billy the Kid figures prominently.
