Four bedoom house for rent. 3 bedrooms are are suites - 2 with kings and 1 with two twin beds. 4th bedroom has a single twin bed. Full bath on the 1st floor and 1/2 on the 2nd floor are separate. Kitchen, dining room, living and family room. 2 car garage. Wi-Fi and 5 tv's. Beautiful quiet beach that is never crowded. Located on the north end of the island which is mostly residential away from all the hustle and bustle of the seasonal attractions. Much quieter and more relaxing. Sunset Park is right across the street with 2 tennis courts, basketsball court, workout course and child's play area. Harvey Cedars Marina is just down the road.

What makes this house unique

The north end of the Island has a much quieter pace than the south. You can decide whether you want a week of sleeping, reading a book, sleeping on the beach and going out just for dinner at night. you can also ran around every day and go shopping.

Our family of four adults and three children had a wonderful time at the beach house. The house was extremely clean and well-kept. Location was amazing as it's only a few steps to get to the beach. LIfeguards are on staff daily, which is a plus. The house is set up rather nicely as it has two separate floors such that older children can play and hang out together downstairs and adults can relax upstairs. Owners extremely responsive to emails and requests before and during stay and provided a prompt refund of deposit as well. Kitchen is extremely well stocked and home very comfortable and clean. A huge plus that linens and bath towels are provided with the house. Plenty of beach chairs and a couple of umbrellas are in the garage so there's no need to bring your own. We would highly recommend the house for rental. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to rent again next summer.

Wonderful beach house!

We enjoyed this home immensely. So close to the beach and watching the sunset from the kitchen was magical. They home owners have everything you could need at that house prepare the best of meals.

We would highly recommend the house.

Amazing time! Fun for the whole family

My family stayed in this beautiful house for a week. We were so happy when we arrived. Everything was just as it looked on the page. It was clean and spacious. Great balcony and right across from Sunset park. We just had to walk a few houses to the wonderful beach. We loved all the restaurants on Long Beach Island and when we cooked the kitchen was filled with everything you would need. We hope to rent again this year.

Nice house but disappointing owner and attitude

This is a nice place in a good location, but I would avoid it for three reasons.

1- When we arrived, there was a pile of dirty laundry from prior tenants with a note from the cleaners that they did not have time to do the laundry.

2- We discovered that smoke detectors in the entire house were not functioning. When I raised the issue with the owner, he told us everything was working per maintenance company. When we persisted, the owner told us flat out that it would cost $75 to check our working system. Only when I reported the issue to the fire department did the maintenance company come out, diagnosed the issue as an electrical short, confirmed it was not working, and fixed (late Tuesday).

3- We left the house on time but received a number of follow up calls from the short-tempered owner telling us that the cleaners were not able to get in. He wasn't there when we left, but the cleaners were, and they had been in the place for 1.5 hours when he called me.

4- We've yet to receive our security deposit.

Overall, nice place, but I will choose another one next time.

Owner's Response: 1. Yes there was laundry there to be dried - 1 load. This resulted since the previous tenant left the house very dirty. They only have about 1.5 hours to clean before the next tenant. 2. Despite our assurance that the smoke detectors were in working, Sergei insisted they were not and threaten to call the fire department & legal action against us. We had several conversation with our maintenance company who assured us the system was working. Our hard wired system works even if 1 detector is defective and it reports directly to the fire dept. Also a complete electrical, plumbing, lighting walk through is done every summer at the start of the season & we have monthly checks. The alarm company wanted to come in Monday but they couldn't until Tuesday since Sergei said one of his children was sleeping. A defective sensor on the 2nd floor was replaced but again they assured us the rest of the system was working since it is a hard wired system. The service team came in Tuesday morning while Sergei and his family went out for breakfast. Sergei was being so unpleasant with my husband that we finally just told him he'd have to pay for the service. We have a current CO from the Township which requires that all fire/CO detectors are in working order. 3. Check out time is 10am & the cleaning company called at 10:30am to tell us that the tenant had not left yet. After several messages Sergei finally called back & told us he had paid to rent the house & that he could leave when he wanted to. By the time he finally left the cleaners had less than an hour before the next tenant. We called them & apologized for the inconvenience of having to check in 2 hours late. Another phone call from Sergei claimed he was several hours away from the house & had checked out on time and the cleaners had been in the house cleaning for 1.5 hours. Our company does NOT enter the houses if the tenants are still present. He again threatened to sue us. 4. His security deposit he hasn't returned since he hasn't paid the balance for $3049.50 owed. This balance is less his security deposit which he has been told. Despite repeated communications he still refuses to pay the balance due. After contacting Home Away he was able to confirm he did still owed us $3049.50. 10 months later & he still refuses to pay us. Home Away told me today he continues to receive monthly payment request but he ignores them and refuses to pay. 5. This has been the worst experience my husband & I have ever had
