About Paula Black, Manager
We purchased our nine acres bordering Otter Creek and fronting on the Homosassa River when it was overgrown and looked nothing like it does today. With love and time, we developed Sunset Point and Sunset Path Vacation Rental Homes, along with our main home. We are friendly and support the Texas A & M University in College Station Texas football program and alumni program, where I was a 1953 graduate.
Paula Black, Manager purchased this House in 1991
Why Paula Black, Manager chose Homosassa
We purchased our nine acres because we were looking for a vacation spot. It was a simple choice. With businesses and family in Tampa Florida it seemed ridiculous to buy a vacation home out of state. Why travel 8-hours to your second home, when in a short hour or so we could be on the River. This place is so beautiful and with a little imagination you can close your eyes and imagine being anywhere in the world. The Sunsets are breathtaking and there's we would have gone a long way to find a place as special as the Homosassa River.
What makes this House unique
You will fall in love with Sunset Path. Besides the home is like new inside, we have upscale furniture and furnishings, from most everywhere in the home you can see the River. You can watch the rare birds and may see some wildlife. The Dolphins romp in the water at your back door. Fish jump in front of you. The air is clean, the water is spring fed and beautiful. You won't hear a horn blow here. Few traffic lights exist. We are a fishing village with great people, yet close to all attractions and away from the traffic, congestion and people touring those attractions. Peace and Tranquility will hold you in their arms. You will go home a renewed person.

We had a really nice time at this rental. The owners were super helpful and the cottage was cozy. It had everything we needed. Thanks for a great time!
From the initial communication with property owner/manager while booking our stay to checking out, we have had an amazing experience. Property is in a prime location... it is clean and comfortable. Can't wait to return!
This is the most delightful property. The wrap around screen deck allows the scenic vista to come indoors. We were entertained by the neighbors feeding the storks, heron and snowy egrets several times each day. When we grilled downstairs these large birds looked to us for handouts. We were unsure that our food was appropriate for the birds so we encouraged them to wait for the neighbors return. The dolphins and the manatees could often be seen from the docks. The furniture was comfortable and the bed was firm without being rigid. Overall this was a clean, quiet, and entertaining rental property.
Walked into a bright, beautiful, clean home.
The house was what you would want to live in. It was clean and bright. The living room has large sliding doors that make the view of the water breathtaking. . We spent a good deal of our time out on the wrap around porch. Paula (manager) made you feel like family. The house is equipped with all the necessary cooking ware and dishes. The open downstairs was the perfect place to rinse off and clean the scallops. Nights were quiet and peaceful. We are looking forward to returning again.
Awesome Family Vacation!
Perfect, clean and beautiful property in the perfect location. Can't wait to go back and stay longer!
We had a blast and you couldn't ask for a better location. Home was nice and clean and manager is very nice.
