This house is simply beautiful! Perfect location for families with or without kids who want to enjoy the lake and all the amenities. Our family stayed here for 1 week and it was everything we needed for adults and kids. The house was clean and has the most amazing view of the lake. The back yard is huge! Games were there for us to use, a fire pit for s'mores and we were impressed with the lake dock and kayaks to use. There were even life jackets available that looked brand new! The lake was so peaceful - definitely recommend a morning kayak workout!
The house has all the amenities you need for a vacation. Kitchen was perfect for cooking our large family meals every night and had plenty of dishes, utensils and other items. The bedrooms were perfect - either kids rooms or adult rooms they were absolutely perfect. Definitely bring your own bath towels. There is plenty of food shopping local with either supermarket chains or local farm stands. Definitely recommend the ice cream place in town called Ice Cream Sandwich in Sandwich. Super cute! Definitely recommend the Craigsville beach about 15 minutes away. We went to a few beaches and this one had no rocks and the sand was great.
Overall, this house and area is a great place for a family vacation. I would stay here again!
This house was perfect for our family vacation to watch my nephew play baseball in the Cape Code league. Me and my family, my three brothers and their family's, and my mother all spent the week and there was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen and dining area was big enough to accommodate everyone for meals. We really enjoyed the lake. The dock was big enough for sunbathing. We used the kayaks almost every day and even did some fishing as well. We spent a couple nights on the back deck grilling and playing yard games.
My only complaint was the musty smell in the basement. Apparently there had been a water leak the week before and the smell was still lingering. They were definitely trying to remedy the situation as there were dehumidifiers and an industrial fan placed in the basement.
The caretaker, Pete, is so friendly and a great source of local information.
Thank you for a wonderful week on Cape Cod!!
3 families (12 people - 6 adults and 6 kids) had a great weeklong vacation on Triangle Pond this summer. While the home looks small from the front, it's spacious on the inside with room for everyone and views to dies for. We had 2 bedrooms we didn't even use. There was so much to do at the house that we didn't feel pressured to leave. The kids spent their time playing soccer (there is a patch of land with full size goals set up), volleyball and badminton, then making their way to the dock to swim, kayak and stand-up paddle board. We even taught all the kids to fish and had a couple of dinners that included fresh bass. The water clear and the temp was perfect.
It was a relaxing week with lots to do in Sandwich and throughout the Cape. Evenings were spent around the firepit making smores. And for our one rainy day the foosball, pool and pingpong tables came in handy.
The outside and some of the carpets are a little run down, and the basement smells a bit musty, but none of that took away from our fantastic vacation! And Dr. Rao was wonderful to deal with from beginning to end including calling a few days before check in to let us know about new amenities at the house.
Thank you for a wonderful stay at your home. The lake views were absolutely gorgeous from almost every room. You house has so much room that we were able to come together as a family at times and also have time away from each other when we wanted to spend time apart. We loved swimming across the lake and kayaking all around the lake. Your home is beautiful. Thank you for a wonderful vacation in Cape Cod.
Beautiful home on a crystal clear pond. Enjoyed swimming, kayaking, fishing and sailing! The kids loved jumping off the dock to swim. There were 7 adults and 6 smaller children with plenty of room for all of us! It was a great house with many amenities.
We (2 grandparents, 5 adult children & spouses, 6 grandchildren) made a strong effort to respect your beautiful home and felt privileged to stay there. It was great having so much space, both for sleeping and playing. With bedrooms on 4 floors, it made for peaceful nights with no more than 2 kids in a room. The children especially enjoyed the game room but made sure they didn't abuse it (e.g., no child was allowed to use the pool table without an adult supervising). They liked the Foosball game, but we noted that most screws/nuts were loose. In order to avoid damage, we tightened up the screws (and bought a replacement bolt which turned out not to be able to be installed because of stripped threads on the table). In any case we left the table in better condition (more stable) than we found it.
We did have a wonderful stay. The lake was wonderful, both for swimming and boating. We especially appreciated the fact that there were no motor boats, which made for a peaceful lake (with no oil slick). We spent lots of time in the very clear water (it was a great temperature, not too hot or too cold) with the kids doing jumping (and a little diving) off the good sized dock The kids also appreciated having some sandy beach. They discovered turtles that stayed mainly under the dock. They managed to catch 13 turtles with a small net (various sizes but none very big - including some snappers - no injuries reported) and played with them in a turtle habitat that they constructed at the edge of the water. They named all the turtles and did release them after an hour or 2. When they caught them again the next day, they were excited to recognized each one, "There's jellybean!" (the largest was named grandpa). We made good use of all 3 kayaks, with everyone getting at least one turn and several turns for others.
We also enjoyed a lunch of ice cream at the Ice Cream Sandwich in Sandwich and one afternoon at the Craigsville beach.
Having a Stop&Shop (and other stores)10 minutes away proved to be extremely handy.
Overall this was the perfect vacation for us since we really wanted a lake vacation but had the option of going to the ocean.
Located in the historic town of Sandwich in Cape Cod. Sandwich is celebrating its 375th anniversary with special events and festivals this year. Must-sees include the Heritage gardens, Glass museum, boardwalk and the famous Sandy Neck Beach with a 180-degree vista that boasts spectacular views of sun-rise and sun-set.
