Cozy Lake Cle Elum Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Our family (two adults, two children, and a brief visit from grandparents) had a wonderful week here!

The cabin is comfortable and has everything you could want or need. We like to cook and the kitchen was perfect for it. The beds were comfy and our boys loved the bunk beds. Hot water and excellent shower pressure. A beautiful view from the upstairs bedroom at night is great for star gazing. The deer came through the yard almost every morning and evening!

Our favorite part was the deck. It's covered, which is nice if it rains, but also nice to be able to be in the shade in the heat of the afternoon. It's a short walk to the lake either on the path through the property or down the street to the local boat access.

We used this spot as a jumping off point to go biking to Salmon le Sac and to go up to Cooper lake to swim for the day.

The Last Resort had last minute essentials, or it's a short 5 minute drive to Roslyn for anything else you might need.

Darcy was great! We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and we hope to be back again soon!

Excellent family weekend

  • 5 of 5

We booked this house only about a month in advance and came with low expectations since it was one of few places left available. It was so much better than we could have hoped! It was much more spacious than the photos depicted. The big deck was fantastic and provided a great spot for card games in the evening. The kitchen is new and well appointed with everything we needed for our meals, with the only exception being measuring cups and spoons, but we made due. The water in the lake was only at 15% due to drought conditions, but luckily the house is located in one of the few places where there is still accessible water. It was a bit of a trek to the water (maybe close to a mile), but a beautiful walk. We rented a paddle board one afternoon and hopped in the car to Cooper Lake, which was only about a 20 minute drive. It was beautiful. We were thrilled with our stay and had a relaxing and fun weekend.

Lake House Family vacation

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our family (my husband and I, our son and his 7 year old twins, our daughter and her husband and their toddler and infant). We brought much more than we needed because extra things were provided (laundry soap, shampoo, dish and dish washer soap, paper towels and napkins to name a few). So many extras. New forgot the twins tooth brushes and were so happy to find commentary tooth brushes which saved us a long trip to town. The house and surroundings are well maintained and the kitchen is fully stocked. Even a Belgian waffle maker! Cozy bedding and beach towels were available. Great space for family meals inside and out. We definitely will be returning soon. The walk to the lake and the lake view were great. The private beach was great too! We lived it! Thank you to Darcy ( the owner) for the nice welcome bottle of wine! Don't bring book or games; there are plenty available at the lake house.

New Year Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our two boys spent Jan 1-4 at this lovely house near Roslyn for some quality family time before the oldest went back to college. We had a great combination of relaxation and adventure (we rented snowmobiles one afternoon). There wasn't enough snow for cross country skiing until the day we were leaving. The house was extremely clean and very comfortable. The kitchen and master bedroom were especially nice and seemed to have been recently remodeled. The kitchen was nicely stocked with a new stove, good pots and pans etc. Besides a nice big TV in the living room, there was another one in the kids' room, and a third in the master bedroom. We ate out in Roslyn a couple times and went to see a movie in their little theater. This house would be perfect for two families to stay together, with enough space and privacy. The owners were nice and helpful. I would like to come back.

everything was great about this place. closer to a real home than a cabin. we had three young families fit comfortably. 1 room per family. everything we needed was there. it's about a 5 minute walk to the beach which is great when not windy. owner is excellent, and everything you'll need is provided.

Amazing place - Wonderful owners!

  • 5 of 5

We could NOT be more thrilled with our stay! Last Christmas we had booked a cabin up in Leavenworth but with the big power outage we found out on Christmas Eve that our reservation was cancelled. We frantically searched VRBO for another option and found this place! Darcy was SO helpful in getting the place set up for us on such short notice so we could still arrive on Christmas and spend our holidays there.

The cabin was stocked with everything we needed, was super clean, and so cozy! We had a group of six adults and three kids and it was spacious enough for everyone. The lake is very close and the option of using their snomobiles is great! We didn't because we had our own, but for those who consider it, it's a great time.

We had such a relaxing time there and are absolutely planning on coming back.
