About Jeff Grabarz
As residents of New York, our parents purchased this camp in 1973 for our family to have a vacation destination. Now, 4 generations of our family have created lasting memories here! We all fell in love with Maine so much that our entire family moved to the Portland area. All of us have lived in Maine for about 40 years and we spend every summer and even winter months 'upta camp!' Now we would love to share our family retreat with others.

The Way Life Should Be!
We had a fabulous experience from beginning to end! This cottage is the perfect Maine experience and I hope to stay again! Beautiful lot and location on the lake. Well stocked home that was spotlessly clean. New shower put in before our stay was a great update. Spent countless hours on the beautiful screened-in front porch enjoying the light breeze in the evening. Lots of parking for my family and friends to pop in and say "hi". Shout out to the caretaker of the house, Joe, who was very nice and responsive by texts! Thank you Graberz family for allowing this former Maine girl to use your home!
Thank you for your wonderful comments.
You are welcome to return anytime!
Lived up to it's "rustic experience" description as we had no TV or computers for a week and we absolutely loved it! The kids had a blast in the lake and we found the house to be well equipped with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay!
Thank you! Really happy you enjoyed your time at Highland Lake!
Wonderful place to enjoy your family!
Lovely camp with very attentive hosts. You'll enjoy the little touches that make you feel so welcome.
We are a family of six and we had plenty of space. The bedrooms have lots of charm and everything is very neat and tidy.
The lake was warm and clean and the kids enjoyed swimming and fishing each day. We had plenty to do even on the one rainy day we experienced.
We look forward to visiting again.
Fantastic camp, lots of room, highland lake 😄
Nice 3 bedrooms for adults, bunk bed room for kids, open concept for dining and living room. Lots of land for kids to play. Highland Lake very nice. Not crowed with boats and jet skies. Watched eagles and Loon families. Very, clean comfortable and quite. Highly recommend for families.
good rustic cottage
My family had a great time here. If you're looking for luxury of any kind, go elsewhere. This is simply an old cabin, but it's got charm, a great screen porch, a large, treed-in, private property, and great lake access with good swimming and kayaking/canoeing. It's maybe slightly overpriced given the rudimentary nature of the accommodations, but we would go back.
Rustic, but too much money for water you can't drink (lake water) and the bathroom olos much too small with a shower that can't fit anyone over 5'-10"
Highland Lake is located 10 miles from downtown Portland and 10 miles from North Windham and Sebago Lake area. A renter's handbook is available at the cottage for our best recommendations.
