|Minimum Stay||3 - 5 nights|
On the edge of Bainbridge Island’s spectacular Grand Forest with its miles of hiking trails (just walk in) and at the end of a private road, this country retreat of 3 1/4 acres, including a mini-orchard of heirloom apple and plums trees, was originally hand-built of Douglas Fir from the property. It has been lovingly and artistically remodeled into a modern designer’s paradise in the woods. Conservatively sleeping eight, it contains a fully-equipped gourmet chef’s kitchen, high speed Internet and two flat-screen televisions connected to DirecTV. The glamorous master bath has an all-glass shower and Japanese soaking tub. The master has a king sized bed; the other two bedrooms have queens. A futon sofa in the upper living room also turns into a queen-sized bed. An ottoman in the same room opens into a single. This modern sanctuary in the woods is less than ten minutes away from the Bainbridge ferry and the charming town of Winslow.
The house was great. Loved being so close to The Grand Forest! We experienced island life when a storm came through and we lost power. Glad we were close enough to town that we could get in the car and go to Winslow for restaurants and entertainment. Very grateful we were given a contact name and number. Michael was awesome! He helped us with power repair updates, resetting the TV and has been gracious enough to send us a forgotten item! The house had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay.
Worked out great. Very Modern. Had everything we needed.
My husband and I and our Airedale Terrier stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time. The kitchen/eating area is large and the induction cook top is great! Master bedroom is also large and the bed is comfortable. The master bath has a great rain shower head and two sinks. The large grassy area was a great place to play with our dog and being so close to the Grand Forest was a plus. The only downside was the wifi coverage. It was just okay downstairs and did not work at all upstairs. Even though the house is accessed by a long, rocky road, it is only a few minutes from Winslow and other activities on the island.
We were very happy with our choice of places to stay. There were 4 children and 4 adults and it was a great fit. The children had room to play and the adults had a place to relax. The kitchen had everything you could ask for to cook anything you could imagine. The rooms were big, sun filled and clean. We would definitely rent this cozy home again.
My husband and I stayed in this home for a week in August. We had a great time exploring the island, hiking, cooking, and generally relaxing. The house is fun...great kitchen to work in and fine markets in Bainbridge to shop for food. In the morning we sat in the back and watched Bambi and her mother nibbling on the apples in the orchard. Great art museum in town and the Bledsoe mansion is not to be missed. Had an amazing stay and plan to return. Would highly recommend this contemorary jewel in the middle of the serene forrest that is Bainbridge Island.
This place is awesome! We picked apples from the orchard and made our own delicious apple crisp. Funky modern design , the kitchen is amazing and the best equipped kitchen I have ever been in.The Knives are amazing! It even had a nespresso coffee machine just like we have at home. The bathrooms are high quality and our family will be back to enjoy this perfect retreat again. Worth every penny!!

This is the home of produced screenwriters and published authors who live mostly in Los Angeles. There is a very personable and knowledgable manager who is a longtime Bainbridge resident on the property in one of the out buildings who will make sure everything is fine for your stay. Enjoy yourselves.
