Guestbook comments from the manager

We recently rented unit 402 at The Palms. We were very impressed with the unit's first appearance. Everything was sparkling clean, neat and orderly. There was a fresh clean scent in the air. The bedrooms were very roomy and comfortable in every way. I rather enjoyed sitting at the bar top to enjoy beverages and snacks. The unit is equipped with 2 full size bathrooms, one of which has a garden tub with built in spa. My wife enjoyed this very much. The second bathroom had a shower with glass enclosure. I had to clean the shower head because it wasn't operating properly due to iron build up in the nozzle. This was the hardest I had to work on my entire vacation, and it took me all of 3 minutes to fix! The air conditioner in the unit worked very well and was very quiet. The washer/dryer combo unit was very much appreciated as we didn't have any dirty clothes for the return trip home. All in all I feel that my money was well spent on a fabulous unit that exceeded my expectations. The only complaint that I have is that we did purchase the recreation package and feel that the package was a waste of money. The package was $79 and as it turns out, ALL of the recreation items are shared by the users in the building. There were 6 bicycles to use, of which only one was road worthy so we couldn't go for a ride. The kayaks were almost never available and when they were, someone took the seatbacks off and brought them in so that they would be there when they wanted to use them again. The beach chairs were too few, because one family was taking the chairs to their unit. There were beach carts and life jackets horse shoes and gas grills available but we didn't use them so I can't over an opinion on those items. Lastly, the pool area- the pool was beautiful and always impeccably clean, yet I never once witnessed any one maintain it! There is a hot tub which is oh so great after a long day at the beaches or what have you. The switch to start the hot tub was broken upon our arrival so using a little old fashioned yankee ingenuity I was able to get it to work and stay working for my entire visit. The unit itself was worth every penny spent on vacation. The view from the 4th floor corner unit is amazing! The building is very quiet, and even more so after dark. Parking was plentiful and everyone always respected us and our personal property. Rent it. I promise you, you WON'T be disappointed!

Great views

  • 4 of 5

We loved being on Treasure Island! The wide beaches and lack of high rises made it much less congested than other places we've stayed. The condo was in a great location near the bridge, and within walking distance of the beach, many restaurants and the grocery store. The pool was great and had an adequate amount of lounge chairs. The views from the condo were spectacular!

Nice place, great view.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in Unit 402. It was nice, clean and had a great view. We stayed for two weeks. After arrival we did notice we had to go purchase a few things, There were no hangers to hang up clothes, or cleaning supplies which we purchase along with Garbage bags, Paper towel, TP, napkins, paper plates, solo cups, coffee filters, dish soap laundry detergent, dryer sheets, aluminum foil, saran wrap, bar soap, liquid soap etc. We did fly there so we couldn't take anything back with us, we left the unused and unopened items for the next quests, which I hope was ok. The location is great, right next door to a grocery store. Lots of places to walk to for food and drink. We had a car but enjoyed walking to a lot of places. Over all a very nice place and experience staying at The Palms 402, I feel this unit is one of the best views in the complex, top floor corner unit.

We had a fabulous stay at the Palms, the condo was clean and had amazing views. We couldn’t of asked for a better place to stay, it was close to the beach, publix and a wide variety of restaurants and bars to choose from!

Great condo but lacking some things.

  • 4 of 5

It is in a great location we spent 2 weeks there . It didn't have any clothes hangers to hang up your clothing . We lived out of our suitcase for the 2 weeks. There we no dish cloths which we purchased our selves and no kettle which we would have liked, would stay again but would like to have those things. Beautiful view and Publixs next store was great.we didn't like that pool wasn't heated. It might be a reason we wouldn't stay anymore.

Surprisingly Great!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was perfect for us. First BEDS are very comfortable. I had an accident a few years back and always have trouble sleeping. Not here. Bathrooms large and the tub was great. I thought the walk would be too far and it was fine. It is along the widest part of the beach but a beach wagon helped tremendously. The pool and hot tub are immaculate as well as the grounds. A few things are sketchy to look at but understandable (bird wire and railing protectors) as well as the many signs of what to do and not do. We have not seen this before but understandable by the last day. Some people just don't care and lack good sense. The unit itself is nice. Bring what you want or need. Again it is not a hotel. Enough kitchen stuff to cook but longer than 5 days I would bring more things. It would be nice to have a comfortable chair for my husband. We are sit down for dinner family There are stools and a place to eat at counter and at coffee table but we also did dinner on the porch. The bedroom could use curtains as the lights from outside the walkway are really bright. Note there are not rugs so it is hard on the feet. It lacks they home-touches but we were so busy didn't notice too much. We will stay again for sure.Go to Shell Island take the shuttle cheapest way for the day. Note it is not Sanibel Island as far as the shelling. We rented wave runners. It is a very fun and easy. Ate at the Shrimpys Bistro. It is a must and ignore the location. Well worth it. Excellent cajun flair and we spend many, many weeks in a year NOLA. Thanks for the quick response and help in booking. Lovely time.
