Come stay in a charming full floor apartment in New Orleans hippest neighborhood, the Marigny Triangle. This gorgeous apartment is relaxing and private and features a large front balcony overlooking the street and a rear balcony overlooking the back yard and garden.

The building is in a great New Orleans Edwardian historic duplex. Wonderful and pleasant location on Royal Street, at Esplanade Avenue. You'll be 2 blocks down from the hip Frenchman Street and 4 blocks up from the center of the French Quarter.

The Marigny Triangle is safe, friendly and full of restaurants, nightlife, interesting stores, and it even has it’s own neighborhood park, Washington Square park right on happening Frenchman Street.

The French Quarter, Warehouse district, Audubon Aquarium park, St Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square is just a quick stroll down Royal Street. Or, you can leave the tourists behind and walk in the other direction to the revitalized Bywater, with new restaurants, cafe's, and bakeries. High quality comfort food, where the locals go!

The house has vintage French flair, with antique furniture and hardware that we scored while cruising many open-air markets.

My husband and I, along with another couple stayed at 1423 during our first visit to New Orleans. What a beautiful place to stay! The apartment itself is wonderfully furnished, structurally unique, and extremely warm and inviting. AND perfectly situated in the heart of the French quarter, just a stones throw away from everything. Lynn and Mark we're great Hosts, they provided us with a guide of all their favorite places to eat and drink, which we made a point to go to all, and all were fantastic! Really gave us a taste for what New Orleans is with tons of culture and history.

Easy access to everything

My family and I stayed for six nights. Leading up to the stay, the owners were very responsive and accommodating to my needs which I greatly appreciated. Even during the stay, they were responsive to any questions/concerns (i.e. loud downstairs tenants), so I would rate the experience high in that regard.

The location is also fantastic, particularly if you want to be just outside of the Quarter. Frenchman street is just a block away, and you can get to the heart of the Quarter in just a 10-15 minute walk. There is a bar two buildings down (good neighborhood bar / dog-friendly) but the noise is minimal, particularly in the second bedroom. You may also hear a train whistle periodically, but it is by no means close by.

The accommodations were clean and check out is a breeze. There are no televisions (but the idea is to get out and experience everything else around) and there is WiFi when needed (it did lag occasionally, but not enough to be problematic).

While there is typically street parking directly outside, its limited (2hrs). Owners said there is 24hr street parking a few blocks away, but I didn't investigate that option. Instead, I used a pay-lot that was a 5 minute walk away. I never saw any security for the lot present, but I had no issues with my car.

There is also a nice park (open 8am-6pm) two blocks away for visitors with dogs or children.

Again, solid location with responsive owners. Noise is everywhere in New Orleans, but I wouldn't call it noisy (particularly in off-street bedroom) and never felt unsafe walking to and from the rental. A good home-base option for those that want to experience both the Quarter and Frenchman Street area.

Great place and perfect location

Our entire family loved this place. Utterly charming and comfortable. The balcony was positively considered a "bonus" room. The weather was perfect for us to use it as a place to congregate for coffee/drinks or do our morning yoga. The location was perfect for walking and biking to wherever our hearts desired. And the Marigny neighborhood was well suited for all of our dining and entertainment needs. Lynn and Mark were MORE than accommodating when we wanted to make minor adjustments to our stay at the last minute. Thanks for a memorable stay in a fantastic city!! We'll be back!

Memorable time in this lovely apartment, in the best location.

This is a great flat in a very convenient location central to Frenchman Street, the French Quarter and the Marigny. We could easily walk to everything we wanted to see. The beds were comfortable. The apartment was very well appointed and very clean. We loved the vintage decor. The kitchen was well equipped. Lovely balcony on the front. There are many cafe's, bars and restaurants nearby, which is great. Lynn gave us a great list of things to do in NOLA and was very helpful with our questions. We hope to stay here again.
