About Stephen or Lana Olsen

We are S.R.O. Construction, Inc. from Kimberly, (near Twin Falls) Idaho. The cabin was a family project started in 1997 and completed in 1998. We have four 'great' children, that have given us 14 'great' grandchildren. We love going to the cabin, but now that the children are spread out more, we find that we would rather travel to see them and the grandchildren over going to our cabin as often. So we have opted to share our bit of paradise with others.

Stephen or Lana Olsen purchased this cabin in 1997

This place was great for our family weekend trip. Lots of room for everyone to sleep comfortably, very clean, close to the reservoir and pine store. Definitely will be coming back!!!

Large, clean, peaceful and comfortable!

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful home for our Family Reunion. It is super family friendly! There is no internet or Wi-Fi, which I absolutely LOVED! Our family was able to unplug and focus on just spending time together, actually TALKING with each other, playing games, having a dance party on the large deck, going boating, etc. This is a super lovely home and I would highly recommend it! Lana is a delightful and pleasant hostess and awesome to work with. I hope we can go back again another time!!

We stay in many private homes for rent. I would give this place a two star.

  • 2 of 5

Property had many rooms for sleeping, but no real master bedroom. There were too many notes telling the guests what not to do. No internet connection. No wine glasses. Felt like we were invading the space. Price for the area was too high.

Owner's Response: We are sorry our property did not live up to your expectations. It was our large family getaway for years. It was designed to accommodate a larger number of people in order to stay together and enjoy each others company and camaraderie. The recreation room below is also great for everyone to enjoy ping pong, foosball, shuffle board, movies and just a nice area for general gathering for children to play or have a quiet conversation. The wet clothes area is also great for those snowy months for snowmobiling and other out door activities. We don't mean to come across as bossy with the list of how things work, but tried to help everyone understand how things operate when staying at an unfamiliar place. We want you to have a comfortable and stress free stay. Pine, Featherville and the surrounding area is a care free place with the South Fork of the Boise River feeding the Anderson Ranch Reservoir with lots of fun activities for boating, fishing, soaking, swimming, and floating, as well as hiking, biking, hunting, atv trails, motor bike trails, snowmobiling trails and powder. It's just a fun getaway from the hectic life for a short while, free from electronic devices where family and friends can connect on a more personal level. The river, the mountains, the reservoir, the friendly local businesses all add to the serenity and peace of this little gem in the vast Rocky Mountains of Idaho. We don't claim to be a five star hotel, but we will claim that this is a great family place to gather.

Very clean and great location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed the weekend here with our kids and 3 other families and there was plenty of room for all of us. (17 total) The owners were great to work with and very helpful. The location of this cabin is awesome, you are just a couple minutes from the lake and pine restaurant and store, the other way just a few miles to Johnsons bridge and paradise hot springs. We had a wonderful time! We will definitely be back!!
