Great place, pity about the dogs

We stayed in one of the 2 bedroomed (Fairway Gardens) houses for just over 4 weeks in March and April 2017.

Fairway Gardens, the group of houses that includes the one we rented, is within the area of a golf course. The Arcos Gardens golf course seems to be well maintained. The level of use by golfers varies considerably, but it was never so busy that it was intrusive. There are paved paths around the course so that non-golfers can enjoy the site as well. From the point of view of security it is reassuring to be on an estate with a manned entrance.

Various companies are responsible for renting out some of the houses, whilst others seem to privately owned or managed. The houses seem to be generally well maintained.

The house we stayed in was spacious, well-furnished and clean. There were a few relatively minor problems during our stay, but these were dealt with efficiently and with little disruption.

The rental company staff (Nuria and Nieves) were very helpful, and went out of their way to provide us with information on the local area on a couple of occasions.

Whilst we were very impressed with the house and with the location itself, the whole experience was spoiled by the level of noise from dogs. At various locations close to (but outside of) the area of the golf course itself, there are dogs in houses, gardens and compounds, and for substantial periods of each day – and particularly in the early mornings and evenings – there is more or less continuous barking from these dogs.

This meant that we only sat outside the house on 3 or 4 occasions during the whole time that we were there. Some of the barking was loud enough to be heard inside the house overnight, and this caused some sleepless nights.

Whilst everything else about Arcos Gardens, Arcos de la Frontera and the general area would tempt us to stay there again, those dogs mean that we won’t.

We are so pleased to learn that you were happy with the overall experience, although we would like to apologize that your experience was disturbed by the barking of dogs. We are afraid there is not much we can do about this, apart from when a guest reports this to reception between the hours of 23.00 – 07.00, we can only call the police, as these are the hours where by law, dogs should be silent or kept inside. Owner's Response: Estimado cliente, Agradecemos su comentario y le indicamos al respecto que en ningún momento cancelamos su reserva. Tras recibir su petición, se le confirmó disponibilidad , pero no recibimos la confirmación final de pago por su parte como garantía de reserva. Nuestra compañera Nieves le contactó el mismo día que realizó su petición para reconfirmar su reserva dado que no nos constaba ningún pago realizado a través del portal Home Away. Su respuesta vía email fue que cuando trató de pagar le fue imposible, quizás porque pudo demorarse en el plazo de contestación para confirmar, ya que se encontraba conduciendo. Por nuestra parte queremos informarle que teníamos la unidad disponible para su estancia pero al no realizar el proceso de pago vía HomeAway, no se pudo realizar la reserva inmediata. Muy buena. Moderna, cómoda y muy espaciosa.

Casa muy amplia, cómoda, muy buenas vistas. Trato muy agradable y profesional por parte de Nuria Berrojo (agencia) Solucionó los problemas con la sintonización de la TV con gran rapidez. Vistas la golf y al bosque, con estupendos atardeceres. El jardín trasero suficiente y gozando de la tranquilidad. En definitiva, muy bien. El pueblo de Arcos, espectacular y monumental . Muy recomendable!!

Superbe condo

Superbe condo sur terrain de golf, tranquille, propre et bien aménagé. Belle terrasse pour les repas et le repos.

Maria et Nuera nous ont très bien renseignés sur les activités de la région et les meilleurs restos.

Je recommande cette location.
