This beautiful large villa rests on a hill just southwest of Christiansted. It has one of the largest pools on St. Croix, several outdoor spaces for relaxing, and a view that will amaze you! It is perfect for large groups and family gatherings. The interior rooms are spacious and comfortable. The main level has the kitchen and living room, a half bathroom, and one ensuite bedroom. The other bedrooms and bathrooms are all upstairs, along with a lounge and roomy balcony looking out to the incredible expansive view. Everything is set up for your comfort and enjoyment. There's even a hammock! The view is of the Christiansted harbor, the historic town, and out to the blue Caribbean Sea. On clear days St. Thomas, St. John, and the BVI are silhouetted in the distance, 40 miles away. At night, the lights of passing cruise ships twinkle in the distance. Since the villa is centrally located, it is easy to participate in any activity or cultural event the island has to offer. Go out and have fun! The serene house and view will be waiting for you when you return!
We were married on the island of Maui, and have loved visiting islands ever since. Now that our children have gone off to college, we are thrilled to finally own a piece of an island paradise! Sue has a chemical engineering degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Otto has a degree in computer science from Reseller Polytechnic Institute. Our daughter, Katie, is a senior at NYU, and our son, Alex, is a junior at Reseller.
Christie Powers purchased this villa in 2014
When we were looking for a home on St. Croix, we fell in love with the expansive view from this house! There is a view from all sides! We walked out onto the covered gallery, and thought, 'This is it!'
What could be better than a view of the blue Caribbean, the historic town of Christiansted and the harbor, and the islands of St. Thomas, St. John, and BVI? From the villa we can watch the boats come and go. The Seaplane that travels from St. Croix to St. Thomas is also fun to watch. Below the villa are lots of trees, which attract birds. There's so much to see, and the feeling is of serenity! As avid readers, we enjoy the large covered gallery. It is the perfect place to enjoy the island breezes, and not have to squint at the pages! The wide open spaces of the house, and the chance to take a quick cool off in the pool make this a special villa.
What a beautiful home with a simply stunning view! My husband and I just spent a wonderful week at Serenity's Treasure.
It is a very spacious and inviting home with incredible views from every room. Each bedroom was painted with vibrant, cheerful colors and had everything you could think of or need. The kitchen and dining area was incredibly well stocked and bathrooms had beautiful tile work. There is fun in store for kids and adults of all ages from the plethora of board games to the engaging treasure hunt with great prizes for kids and adults.
Because it was so close to everything, we got to do a lot of activities and still have several hours of fun and relaxation at the private pool back at the house, including Virgin Kayak Bioluminescent tour, Big Beard's full day of snorkeling, 340 Crossfit and the Cruzan Factory Rum Tour.
Our favorite meals were brunch at Blue Water Terrance and dinners at Deep End Bar and Grill with an ocean view and Savant.
A slice of paradise!
I love this House and I love this Island! They are the perfect combination if your vacation intent is to truly relax. The house sits high on a quiet hillside above Christiansted harbor sporting an amazing view and unfailing breezes. The house is huge. I was there with a group of 4 and we each had our own room and bath with bedrooms to spare. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own quiet spot. The pool is large and beautiful and a great alternative to the beach if you just want to hole up for the day napping and cooling off. I love sitting on the covered veranda in the morning watching the sea planes land and take off from Christiansted harbor. One of my favorite things about St Croix is that it is so down to earth and not a tourist trap, but if you have a hankering to do some power shopping it's only a quick half hour by sea plane to St Thomas harbor so an easy day trip. One of the wonderful things about the island is that nothing is ever than more than half hour to 45 minutes away. This house is only ten minutes from downtown St Croix and there are quite a few excellent restaurants from local fare to gourmet close at hand. I first went in April 2015 to escape a horrible Boston winter, returned the following July to shake off the stress of work and returned again this past April just because I can't help going back now. I was lucky enough to have booked this time during the "Taste of St Croix" celebration showcasing all the wonderful restaurants on the island. Things definitely not to miss are the scuba tour on Buck Island and night kayaking on the bioluminescent bay. The owners of the house also have the largest collections of games I have ever seen so you can entertain yourself while sipping your Cruzan Confusions all night. An extra bonus is the treasure hunt they set up for guests. It's definitely a challenge but completing it is worth the effort. Needless to say I will be back again in the near future!
Our group of 8 had an absolutely wonderful time at Serenity's treasure. the property manager met us at the airport to give us keys and to make sure we find the place (which is, by the way, visible from the Christiansted wharf - it is the only white villa with baby blue shutters and roof on the hill above the town).
The house is big: it has 6 bedrooms (not 5) and enough common spaces for game playing, swimming, lounging inside or outside and eating and cooking all at the same time. The owner provided uncounted beach towels in addition to the regular bathroom towels. There is a cool box with freezer inserts if you are inclined to take your own lunch out with you. What can I say: it is a home away from home.
We were 5 divers and 3 snorkelers. The house's porch was festooned with diving and snorkeling equipment and everything dried overnight in the breeze. The house is airy with high ceilings, cool tiled floors, screens and doors to every porch or balcony (I think there was a balcony to just about every room) and ceiling fans were everywhere, so air conditioning is absolutely unnecessary. We loved that: it was outdoor living even inside. The house is immaculate and wonderfully maintained. There are more games in the game room than anyone can play in a lifetime. And if you like escape rooms (or other interactive puzzle game situations), ask the owner for the expanded 30 clues version of the treasure hunt. We couldn't decide if we should be solving the treasure hunt puzzles or play games. Usually we did both at the same time. Basically, we left the house to dive and then we rushed back to the house to play there. We did not need any other entertainment for the long week we stayed at Serenity's treasure. What could be better then that?
We just returned from a wonderful stay at "Serenity" which really is a fitting name for the location. The half mile drive up the hill to the house ended up being the perfect buffer between us and the town of Christiansted. Nestled on the side of a mountain, the home offers postcard worthy views of the town, harbor, ocean, and is a short commute to most island activities.
During our week on the island, our group found time to golf at all three courses, take the Tan Tan tour, sail, snorkel, kite sail, kayak, and shop. We enjoyed literally everything we did, but I would describe night kayaking on the bioluminescent bay and golf at the Buccaneer as the most unique to the island. On several evenings the culinary experts in our group prepared dinner in the well equipped kitchen of the house.
The home offered our party of 11 plenty of room to spread out, and a number of well appointed places to get together as a group. The large dining table worked well for meals as well as a place to play one of the large supply of board games provided by the owners. A big hit with our group was the “Treasure Hunt”, which we solved on our last night on the island.
The owners went out of their way to provide every amenity to make our stay wonderful.
We can't wait to return next year!
Our family group (10 of us) just stayed at this beautiful villa overlooking the sea and Christiansted. This large, airy home provided enough space comfortably for all of us. Some of us walked down the 1/2 mile drive and then into town with no problem. Be sure to rent an SUV as the road up is very bumpy. The owners provided every amenity you can imagine and a challenging treasure hunt for real treasure! The views from the home are spectacular. Christie, our real estate agent was friendly, resourceful and very responsive to any need that arose. We highly recommend this wonderful place!
ABSOLUTELY fabulous!! What a fantastic home, pool and view. Look no further, this house is for you! Comfort, beauty and adventure. The owner has an incredible eye for detail and knows how to make a vacation truly special! We had three generations staying here in early August, to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We hoped for a great view, and relaxing pool, but got so much more. Loved the huge kitchen with all bake ware, pots, and dishes/silver for many, many days! We were torn between cooking each night and enjoying the spectacular sunsets while sipping rum drinks, or driving in to town or the East side for fabulous meals (Try Zions and Savant for dinner; Angry Nates and Turtles Deli in Frederiksted for lunch)! In addition, each room was beautiful decorated and stocked with just what you need for a week's stay. Never did we have to say "oh I forgot..." because the owner had it covered. The dishwasher and laundry facilities were well used, and any questions were quickly answered by Christie. My mom doesn't do stairs well, and there was a lovely downstairs bedroom with bathroom, that is perfect. We liked the game room, and played a different one each night, and we LOVED the treasure hunt. The owner set up an amazing treasure hunt in which we had to solve riddles and puzzles to unlock the keys to a real treasure. Upon arrival a few folks cooked and prepared drinks while family members took turns trying to answer questions and solve the puzzles, while hunting around the house for the next clue. At first we thought - this will be fun for the kids to try, but then 3 hours and 9 family members later, we all got involved! Way to go Serenity's Treasure! Keep up the terrific work!
