WOW!! THERE IS NO WHERE MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN SUMMER OR FALL IN THE MOUNTAINS!!! AND NOW A NEW 110 MILLION DOLLAR CASINO IN MURPHY!!! HOW GREAT!
EVERY WHO SAYS HERE SAYS THE PICTURES DON'T DO THIS RENTAL JUSTICE - IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN THEY EXPECTED!! BELLE TIMBRE The house sits on 3 acres of manicured grounds, with 400 ft on a rushing creek, and a large pond stocked with bass. There is a canoe available for on the pond fishing. Fishing is catch and release. For additional fishing, Cherokee Lake Park is not far, and there is a long deck out over the water for fishing.
The log house is 2100 s.F. Of rustic/chalet architecture; on one side we have a family room/dining area/kitchen all open with a vaulted ceiling, main bedroom with a main bathroom w/double sink and tub, and a utility washer/dryer area. A large pella window views the bird feeder/back yard area, and a sliding doors open out to the 40 ft deck. A large opening goes to the living room with 22 ft high paneled ceiling and gas fireplace on a raised hearth,a large deer head over fireplace, a 2nd bedroom and bath with patio doors that view out to the pond. All this is on one floor, wheel chair accessible from the garage with a small step up. There is a front door with a stairway leading up to the loft from the stone hallway. The loft area is 15 x 15 and has a daybed that opens to a double sleeping area. The house comfortably sleeps 6 people. The house has two-zone heat and air systems, and two hot water heaters. Two t.V.S, one 43 inch h.D. In family room. There is a pro=form treadmill in the living room, a grill on the deck with covered canopy off the kitchen. Living room also has two large sliding doors that open to the deck, back yard and creek. There is a burn pit in the back yard for bonfires. PETS ARE ALLOWED UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS AND MUST BE APPROVED. . One car can be put in garage, the other side has personal things stored there. If needed, guests can use tools, etc but they must be put back or replaced. The driveway is gently sloped to house, and has flat area for multi-car parking. Both bedrooms downstairs are queen beds. We have wi-fi in the house. Phone is also provided. Verizon Cell Phones Work at the house, and others do work at the end of Joyce road on the paved road called Culberson rd. The road to the house is a gravel road, very well kept and graded. It has curves and turns and a hill but there has never been a problem if people adhere to the 10 mph posted signs. In all the years of this subdivision, roads to cabins in this area can be a real problem especially those that sit on mountains. This should be a real concern when renting in the mountains - but this road is well maintained and safe. We are 2 hrs from everything - Atlanta, Chattanooga and all the wonderful tourist sights, including white water rafting on the Ocoee and Nantahala rivers, boating on Lake Chatuge with 200 miles of shoreline, hiking trails all over. Take a day trip to Highlands and see dry falls, bridal veil falls, and all the great shops and dining in Highlands. Go to chimney rock park and ride the elevator or hike up the stairs to the top with a 100 mile view; ride to Ashville to Mt. Mitchell, the highest point in the south; go horseback riding and visit the castle restaurant named Brasstown Valley resort and spa. Go to Young Harris to the six-movie theatre with attached playtime area with every type of game and rides imaginable. Or just sit on the deck with a cup of coffee and enjoy the many birds, hummingbirds, deer, turkeys, hawks, ETC.
WE WOULD ALSO CONSIDER A SHORT TERM RENTAL OF ONE TO SIX MONTHS FOR A SPECIAL RATE THAT INCLUDES EVERYTHING EXCEPT ELECTRICITY AND MOWING - WI FI, SATELLITE TV, INTERNET. RENTOR PAYS ELECTRICITY AND GRASS MOWING.
This was the dream home that I planned for over 30 years. I did a lot of research on log homes, and put everything I loved about every place I have ever lived into this house. I designed the house and was the general contractor for the building process. No amount was spared and nothing but top quality materials went into the house, right down to double pane windows and sliding glass doors. I have never rented it to anyone, but now I spend most of the year down in my home in Florida because all my children and grand-children are down here. It was a shame to let it sit for so long with no one to enjoy it, so I decided to do vacation rentals to people who appreciate quality, comfort and peace and quiet. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I do when I am there.

This vacation rental has so many more amenities that you will not find in most vacation rentals. When you open the front door, take a deep breath and look around - you feel like you are home or in a home you would like to have. It is comfortable, cozy, everything you need and built like a fortress. It has everything you need to enjoy and quiet, homey vacation including a treadmill, burn pit, gas fireplace, and all the comforts you could want or need. Well behaved pets are welcome and the property, creek and pond are like DOG HEAVEN. NO TRAFFIC AND IT IS SO RARE TO FIND A CABIN RENTAL WITH A GARAGE. EVERYONE WHO HAS STAYED HERE FALLS IN LOVE WITH THE PLACE.
OUR RATES ARE COMPETITIVE AND INCLUDE TAXES. PROPERTY IS VERY BEAUTIFUL AND THE HOUSE HAS AN ATTACHED GARAGE RIGHT OFF THE FAMILY ROOM AND MANY MORE AMENITIES THAN YOU USUALLY FIND IN VACATION RENTALS.
Chalet was a little bit back in the woods, beautiful property, but would have preferred something a bit closer to the main roads, the one lane drive is a bit scary especially after dark, nearly hit someone who was coming out at the time we were going down. The chalet had most anything needed to settle for the week. The main bathroom would not allow us to use tub, the plug doesn't lock properly to keep in bath water, which was a nuisance with our youngster who doesn't do well with showers. The back deck and surrounding yard areas were the highlight of the stay. Absolutely loved all the space. Nice chalet, just a bit too far out for our liking.
Good retreat, quiet and peaceful spot in the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains.

The wife and I had the distinct pleasure of renting this vacation rental for 2 weeks ( wished it had been longer). Oct 3rd thru 18th 2015
Being Senior Citizens and having the opportunity to vacation in over 40 cabins/rental properties thru out the country. I have to say this one rates at the very top for Peace/ Tranquility/Comfort.
This is a must for Seniors:
1. Acres of walkable grounds.
2. Easy access from garage to load and unload luggage.
3. Beds very comfortable, Kit well stocked with utensils.
4.A pond to fish or just set in swing and enjoy the sound of nature.
5. Absolute peace on quiet
6, I could see that it would be great for families looking to have bonding time as a family.
No vacation rental is a 100% perfect, this one is as close as you will ever get for Comfort, Peace and Tranquility. We will if fortunate enough return to this property.

Right over the North Carolina line, we arrived at Joyce Road, a small gravel road that was a little tricky, but well graded, drove in about a mile and there sat Belle Timbre, in a beautiful surrounding, next to a natural pond, and the creek below bordering the property. After easy access into the house, we walked in and it was everything and more than we ever expected. We found everything we needed and then some. Two lovely bedrooms downstairs, one with an attached bathroom, open concept of kitchen, den and dining area that led out to the huge deck. The weather was perfect, so we spent a lot of time on the deck, watching the hummingbirds feed, and tossing the ball for our dogs. We drove out car into the attached garage and unloaded all our belongings. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and the bathrooms were great. The convenience of having the utility area right off the kitchen was wonderful too. The property manager is so very easy to deal with, answering all our questions and providing all the information we needed. There was a folder on the kitchen table that gave almost all the information we needed to enjoy the area. I would recommend this vacation rental to all my friends - it was quiet, peaceful and secluded with many deer and turkey sightings on the gravel road. Truly a great experience.
This Beautiful Log Home is in a quiet spot in the Smokey Mountains situated at the end of a long gravel road. The surrounding grounds are neat and well kept and makes the property really stand out as you drive towards it. We really enjoyed our time here, as the house is extremely comfortable, and private. It has it's own spring water, and two water heaters, and two AC units so we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I enjoyed waking up each morning and looking out of my bedroom to the Bass pond, and then sitting out on the Beautiful deck area to have my morning coffee and enjoy the peaceful climate. The weather was perfect! we watched a Hummingbird come to feed from the bird feeder then took a walk down in the meadow to take photos of the many flowers that were growing there. We would definitely recommend this as a Holiday retreat, and we are looking forward to returning here as soon as we can.
We only intended on staying for two weeks, but we enjoyed this lovely log home so much we contacted the owner and asked if we could extended out time for another two weeks. The property is just beautiful with the creek and pond. Children enjoyed fishing and riding in the canoe, they played in the clear, cool creek and we walked through some of the paths near the house. The weather was cool, our favorite was sitting on the deck under the canopy and having most of our meals out there. There were so many amenities that you don't find anywhere else because they leave many of the supplies there - this you don't find usually in cabin rentals. The house is comfortable and drop dead gorgeous. We have stayed in many places up here but this one was far the best on so many levels. There are a lot of day trips to go to from this home including Cherokee and Harrah's, Highlands, and the Aquarium in Chattanooga. We would recommend this to anyone and we will be back again.
We are easily accessible to whitewater rafting in the oCOEE and nantahala rivers; we have four large lakes nearby, including Lake Chatuge w/200 miles of shoreline; we have a 6 movie theatre in Hiawassee with adjoining indoor playtime for kids with every kind of game and ride imaginable; Great restaurants along the shoreline areas, boat rentals, or go the aquarium and all the tourist localtions in Chatanooga. We have the advantage of being in a tri-state area of 1 mile to the GEorgia line, 13 miles from the TEnnessee line and within a couple hours of the Smoky mountains and N. Georgia mtns.
