New creekside cabin nestled in the woods is a great place to get away from it all and enjoy nature. You might see wild turkeys, kingfishers, or deer. Enjoy sitting on the porch, hiking on site, nearby Appalachian Trail or other trails, as well as rafting, tubing, local arts and crafts, and Asheville, NC.
This new 3 bedroom cabin is clean and comfortable. Great place to stay, and centrally located to Hot Springs and Asheville. Enjoy the surrounding outdoor activities or arts and crafts shopping. Smoky Mountain National Park is about an hour away.
A transplant to the western North Carolina mountains, who loves nature and hiking.
Owner/Manager purchased this cabin in 2014
We built this cabin on our property in 2014 to share the lovely views and creek with visitors.
The cabin is a get away from it all. There is no internet or cell service, so you can get off the grid for a while. There are great outdoor activities in Hot Springs and Asheville is nearby too. The Smoky Mountains are not far.
Mary was very helpful with all the questions we had for her. We had a great time at Apple Cabin on the Creek, we truly wish we had stayed longer. It was the perfect spot to get some R&R. The cabin was spacious and well equipped. Like other visitors, we loved the wooden stove! The cabin is conveniently located about 50 minutes away from Asheville, so it fit perfectly into our plans. The drive there offers some wonderful mountain views. Absolutely would recommend!
Apple cabin was awesome! Everything was so clean and had a very welcoming atmosphere when we first walked in. I took my girlfriend here for an anniversary weekend getaway and I couldn't have been more satisfied. The cabin was awesome, looked as if it was professionally decorated. There were plenty of maps and local attraction booklets provided as well as games, cards and puzzles. Plenty of towels blankets and linens. Beds slept wonderfully. Even though it was just the two of us, the cabin could easily sleep 8 people. The fireplace was amazing and there was plenty of wood to burn. There is also a trail behind the cabin as well, the signs pointing the direction are alittle hard to read but there was also a map of the trail in the welcoming binder. The back door was hard to figure out how to lock at first but after we read the directions we were able to get by. Plenty to do around as well, Asheville is like 30 mins away and we definitely recommend checking out Max Patch while in the area, which is only maybe 25-30 mins away. Definitely wish we could've stayed longer! Overall awesome experience, highly recommend.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Apple Cabin. It was clean, comfortable and very restful, especially when sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch and listening to the gurgling brook. We were just sorry that we only had one night there. My sister, who was traveling with us, would like to know what kind of mattress or topper you have on the bed in the smaller bedroom. She said that was the first time her back has not hurt on arising in a long time. Very enjoyable visit. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here again.
The property was beautiful. The beds were terrible for the cost of the house we were disappointed in the beds. Also had some problems locking the door. I would also suggest more comfortable seating in the living room. It would be nice if an iron and board were provided for people attending weddings etc. Had a great time over all.
Thanks The Ottos
We found this home to be very clean and well furnished with comfortable beds and sitting areas. We saw deer and turkeys on the property and enjoyed the stream very much. The porch was the go to place when we were there where the creek can be heard. Tried to leave the window cracked at night so we could hear the stream but the frogs were so loud we couldn't hear it! Take a hike on the path to the pond for exercise and beauty. If it is too hard there is a way to come back via the road, which makes it easier on us older folk. There is cell coverage just a few miles down the road in Trust, if needed. Do need to think ahead on items you may need as it is a bit of a drive to a grocery store.
We visited Ashville on a few occasions and being craftspeople found the Grovewood Gallery to be our favorite. River Art District is worth one trip mainly for the novelty of it and if you like tacos check out the White Duck taco shop downtown. There were a lot of things to do in Ashville in the way of shopping, museums and eateries. We are planning a return trip as soon as possible!
The cabin was a perfect home base to explore the area. We found all the accommodations wonderful, some of the most comfortable mattresses of any rental property we have experienced! The location was great just beside the steam and convenient to the Ashville without going through the mountains. The cab in had everything we need to cook and prepare our own meals. We would definitely sty here again.
Beautiful home! Pictures do not do it justice, it was so clean and fresh. Ultimate relaxation, complete privacy, and the sounds of the stream just rock you to sleep. Will return, fantastic experience!
There are many hiking opportunities with trails on site and the Appalachian Trail and Max Patch nearby.
