Perfect family reunion spot
The house is spacious and accommodating and perfectly fit our big family. We really enjoyed making meals together in the large, up-scaled kitchen. The outdoor space is the best. On our last night my eight grown children and I sat on the deck couch and reminisced and laughed together as we watched a lightning show flash across the lake. It was a memory I will treasure. The pool was fun and the north beach of Bear Lake is nearby. One nice feature is there is plenty of parking for all the cars, which some homes do not have. Overall, we loved our stay and plan on coming back.
Great views and landscaping! Clubhouse access was nice with kids while guys/gals golf in town.
Laundry was the only slightly stressful part. We got laundry done just in time for check-out.
Loved the home and the view. The clubhouse, pool, and pickleball court were a bonus.
The home was beautiful and well kept. My family thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Couldn't beat the view and accommodations. Thank you Scott and Lindasue for being so hospitable.
The house was beautiful but the pictures don't do the view justice. Literally the most exquisite view of the Lake; you walk in and BAM! big open windows stretching 20 +/- feet full of water views. We spent a lot of time just sitting on the back deck overlooking the lake. We had 28 adults and 11 kids. There was lots of room with floor space upstairs and in the basement- as long as adults are okay sleep on rollaway and fold out beds provided by the owners. Kitchen was great! Extra large fridge in the mud room (which was also an amazing space as we stored 6-7 coolers out of the way but still had easy access) was invaluable. There was plenty of seating outside and in for all our adults and children when it came to meal time. The club house pool was fun but crowded, though most of us didn't even go to the lake because we had such nice amenities at the house and club house! Main floor living room had ample space for everyone to congregate for a honey roast of our Grandma for her 80th birthday! Owner was great to work with before and during our stay; answered all our questions.
Here are a few things to be aware of after our experience:
DIRECTIONS, we had a hard time finding the house using the address listed. Apple maps took you to a location within the reserve, told you to park and walk the rest of the way... Google maps gave two different route options- one was past a cemetery and not an easy drive for anything but a four wheeler but the other route got us close to the house. At this point in time, follow the directions provided by the owners! Also, the reserve sign, before you enter the community, popped up quick so be looking out or you may miss it.
On a fun note, here is our verdict: Labeau's has creamy shakes and Merlin's has more raspberries but all were tasty!
Perfect family reunion home.
We absolutely loved our stay here. We held our family reunion here with a very large group and there was room for all. We really enjoyed all the amenities the neighborhood provided. The house and views are amazing. A short drive will give you access to North beach and the marina to launch watercraft. I had a few questions and was answered very quickly by he owner. Thank you again for our stay. All were very happy.
Gorgeous property in a beautiful community overlooking Bear Lake
The house is gorgeous! It was big enough for a family reunion with 38 people and every couple had their own bedroom. There are lots of fold away cots and mats and sheets for a gaggle of kids, but not enough blankets for all of the mats/cots. The people we communicated with were awesome and always answered our concerns right away.
The home is beautiful and well stocked. Only thing we can think of that we needed were some scissors but not a big deal. Also the website said that checkin is at 4:00pm but it's really not until 5:00.
Be prepared to wash all of the sheets/towels you use. If you're housing the max amount of people this will still take you a good amount of time in the morning even with the three washers and dryers. Luckily we had two families leave the day before checkout or we may not have gotten it done in time even with getting up and getting the laundry started at 6:00am. This is seriously the only reason I'd give it four instead of five stars. It truly is an excellent place and the owners (or managers?) were excellent! Thank you!
This is located about 10 minutes/7 miles north of Garden City. There is a private swimming pool, and an additional pool added summer 2018, hot tub, splash pad, volleyball, tennis, pickle ball, and basketball courts, playground, clubhouse access, and private beachfront for guests.
