About Peter Tulloch

Our family has been enjoying summers in Nantucket since the early '70s. We initially rented in 'Sconset but wanted to be 'on the water' where we could moor our boat and our two young boys would be able to swim, sail and row safely. We found this wonderful location in Pocomo and bought what was then a single story Nantucket cottage. We have since renovated our home adding a second story initially and then, more recently expanding out over the garage. Our boys are grown now with families of their own and they all continue to come to Nantucket, not only in the summer but also after Christmas through the New Year. It has been a special part of all of our lives, a place where we've all made life long friends and continue to share many happy memories.

What makes this cottage unique

A no-longer-so-typical Nantucket beach-front cottage right on Nantucket Harbor looking across at Coatue and Great Point Lighthouse - spectacular sunsets from the beach-side deck.

Pocomo is a peninsula bordered on the south by Polpis Harbor and west and north by Nantucket Harbor. While development has grown in the last decade, Pocomo remains relatively rural, the only access being Pocomo Road which is bordered by pines, scrub oak and other native greenery providing privacy to properties along the road.. Located roughly 10 miles form the downtown, 7 miles from the Milestone Rotary, Pocomo offers a welcome alternative to the hustle, crowds and traffic of the downtown. The peaceful beaches and calm waters are perfect for shelling, swimming, water sports and fishing for families and active adults. Of course, if you love shopping, dining out, touring the sites, Nantucket is a small island - nothing is more than a 15-20 minute drive away.
