Columbus, Ohio is quickly emerging as one of the country’s artistic and creative hubs. Columbus plays an important role as Ohio’s capital city, as well as the home of The Ohio State University Buckeyes. This exciting Midwestern destination offers a lot to visitors in the way of arts, culture, sports, and nightlife!
This spectacular 2-bedroom, 1.5-bathroom cottage is actually a renovated carriage house, built in 1870. It has been meticulously restored in the last year to comfortably accommodate 4 guests and feels more like a trendy loft than a carriage house! A 60-inch TV with full surround sound gives you a front row seat to your favorite sporting event or movie screening. A hayloft area features 20-foot ceilings and a full kitchen with stainless appliances and countertops, as well as a full bar for entertaining. The master bedroom also boasts a fireplace, which is perfect for those chilly Columbus winters.
Perhaps the most exciting thing about this property is its proximity to the growing arts district. A “Gallery Hop” takes place on the first Saturday of every month on the main strip only 50 yards from the home, where local art galleries come together to showcase the work of local and regional artists. The property is also a short drive from The Ohio State University’s campus and the famed Ohio Stadium, where the Buckeyes play. The historic Ohio Theater hosts full-scale Broadway productions and is sure to please everyone in your group, whether you go for a play, concert, or any other performance. Museums, parks, gardens, and more all contribute to the beauty and culture of Columbus. When you book this wonderful property for your next trip to Columbus, you’ll love having the best of the city practically right at your doorstep!

Great house for a weekend trip in the middle of the Short North neighborhood. Close to restaurants, bars and shopping. A 30 minute walk to OSU right up High Street. This carriage home is remodeled tastefully and was very comfortable. I'd recommend it for a football weekend.
Stayed the weekend while visiting my sister who lives near by. The owner did such a wonderful job renovating and decorating the carriage house. Myself, husband and two kids slept comfortably between the 2 bedrooms. There was room upstairs for my sister and her boyfriend to sleep on the huge, very comfortable sectional. Loved spinning records on the record player, while enjoying cocktails at the wet bar. Impressive collection of records! While I would say this place is kid friendly, you are also steps away from tons of bars and restaurants. Noise was never a factor though. We defiantly want to come back minus the kids to really experience short north.
Well done remodel and accurately described on the website. Main bedroom is very large and the upstairs living room, kitchen, and bar area is a cool open concept space (with main bathroom/shower also on the upper level (half bath is downstairs with the bedrooms).
This is also in a very good location just off the main drag with convenient off street parking. It is a hefty 15-20 minute walk up to the OSU campus and even farther for the Horseshoe, so be prepared to hike if you are visiting the University (otherwise, Uber or a cab is a short drive). Would definitely stay there again when visiting Columbus.
Beautifully restored carriage house was the perfect set-up for 2 couples. Upstairs space was a perfect place to relax and have a drink when we weren't out and about. Tons of Short North bars, restaurants and galleries steps outside the door, and both downtown and the University are walkable if you are motivated.
