We are a mature athletic couple living in Manhattan. This is our weekend place. We love adventure, sailing, biking, skiing and golfing. Except for skiing Hampton Bays offers all of it, including great restaurants and shopping.
Herma Schmitz & Matt Koleos purchased this house in 2014
This house was completely renovated in 2014, with kitchen, bathrooms and great fun and bright furniture. You will love the town, the water and the deck.
Very easy to get to because it's at the beginning of the Hamptons, but still close enough for you to enjoy all of the fancier towns. The house has a very inviting, romantic flair to it. You can walk to the RR Staton.
This small house was easily accessible, well run and well organized. It had everything we needed for a month stay, and clean as a button!
What can I say? it was just as advertised. And the owner was always available and helpful.
My family just rented this lovely hide away home for both months (July and August 2016). The pictures do not fairly represent how beautiful the home is. It is clean with nice french decor. It is perfect for couples or small families. The home is tucked back on a quiet street in Hampton Bays just minutes from Ponquogue Beach. What I appreciated most about the home was that it was fully stocked with the necessities for long stays compared to most summer rentals that lack storage or appliances. The kitchen was also a comfortable size for cooking for my family. Herma, was a great host and was easily accessible if I had any questions. I would definitely stay here again!
We spent a long Spring weekend in this meticulously renovated Hamptons house. The setup was perfect for a family of four. The interior is stylishly and beautifully decorated, and the backyard is perfectly set up for quiet enjoyment/sunbathing or for gathering around the BBQ with a bottle of wine. This little oasis is the perfect location for exploring the Hamptons, whether making excursions to Shelter Island, Montauk or the area's many wineries, or just heading a few minutes down the road for groceries or to the beach. The owner, Herma, goes out of her way to make you feel at home, adding the same personal touch to every interaction that clearly was put on the house itself - a real Hamptons gem.
My 8 yr old twins and I spent two months in this lovely beach home. It is tastfully decorated, comfortable , enjoyed by friends and family alike. We spent many evenings enjoying the backyard and had a few BBQ's with friends. They all want a part of this little piece of heaven! The beach and bay are minutes away! The owner, Herma was always available for any questions or concerns. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. My husband dreaded leaving for work each week.
We will certainly be back!
I rented this house during memorial day weekend. It was far more than I expected. Very clean, very quiet and good neighborhood. It was close to everything in the hampton bays. The wineries, beaches, and great restaurants were just minutes away. The property was very well maintained. Herma was very helpful with every detail whether it was about the house or the neighborhood. The house had automatic lights, alarm system, and secondary instructions incase of a lock out. I would highly recommend this house for vacation needs. It was well stocked with everything needed and felt like home away from home.
The entire Hampton area is available from here.
The Atlantic on one side and the Picnic Bay on the other. You can either be casual and bum around the beach, bike or golf or visit Southhampton, East Hampton and Sag Harbor and be fancy. We love to bike to the beach for lunch, walk the beach and bike home. The public Golf Courses in Riverhead are great. My favorite day trip is taking the ferry to Shelter Island, rent a bike and explore the Island.
A tour of the wineries is great fun. On a rainy day go shopping at the Tanger Outlet Center in Riverhead.
