Beautiful Lucca

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I just returned from three weeks in Europe and our highlight was the five days we spent in Lucca at this property. Our regret is that we didn't stay longer. The pictures represent exactly how charming this property is, Liz has left nothing out, you have everything you need and more. She is an absolute delight to deal with and Ricardo at the wine shop below is great. Thank you so much Liz, we hope to see you again either in Lucca or one of your other properties.

Paradise in Lucca

  • 5 of 5

The apartment had everything I needed and more! Great location! A wine store on one side. A gelato shop on the other side. Easy walking distance to the wall or anywhere in town. I look forward to returning! Thank you Liz!

A beautiful apartment in a magical city

  • 5 of 5

Staying at Adagio was truly like having your own lovely home in Lucca. The apartment is furnished beautifully and every need one may have has been considered in the design. Within one day, coming back to Adagio after exploring the city was like returning to your own apartment.

Adagio’s location is also absolutely perfect. You are able to walk anywhere within the historic walled city as well as to the train station. There is no place more convenient. Our week in Lucca at Adagio was the most memorable and enjoyable part of a three week visit to Italy. We cannot wait to return to Lucca and will absolutely stay at Adagio again.

Luxurious little haven in the heart of Old Lucca.

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful gem of an apartment. It is really tiny but everything is immaculate, well thought out and comfortable. It is stylishly furnished and decorated and Liz has provided lots of little extras to make it a lovely home away from home. We had a wonderful 5 days here in August 2016 and loved it. Our only slight discomfort was the heat which the aircon struggled to cope with. However, you have to expect heat in Summer in Italy! It is well located in the centre of the town. Shops for food and other provisions are nearby and there are plenty of good venues available for meals or refreshments. We particulary enjoyed the easy access to the wall and the lovely evening walks "on the wall". There is so much to see and experience in Lucca and it is also a good base to do trips to the surrounding areas. We did a day trip to Cinque Terra. Florence and Bologna are not far away. Liz, the Owner, is exceptionally helpful and so pleasant to deal with. She couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely stay again and are already planning another trip.

Treat Yourself to a Lovely Stay in Lucca

  • 5 of 5

I find it difficult to write my review since everything wonderful about this apt.has been said by others, and quite

eloquently. My opinions and comments echo those that reviewed before me. I spent one month in Lucca enjoying

the feel of being at home while away from home. I am a seasoned traveler and have experienced many different

types of accommodations. I think Liz has done an excellent job with all the details a visitor welcomes. The information she provides is so valuable from restaurant suggestions with personal comments to understanding the ways of Lucca. In the apt. she includes things like bandaids, Q- Tips, some sewing tools, lovely soaps, etc.

Liz makes you feel like she is happy that you chose her place for your stay in Lucca. She and the apt. are a class

act ! and of course you will adore Ricardo and his wine shop next door. He and his wife were helpful in answering

questions about anything Lucca related and his wine suggestions were excellent......

Beautiful Adagio in Magical Lucca

  • 5 of 5

We had three days in Italy prior to leaving for a cruise from Civitavecchia so we decided to make a return visit to Lucca. Liz’s apartment was perfect for us. The location is great: close to the train station and taxis can drop off right in front of the building and of course nothing is far away in Lucca so lots of shopping and restaurants within walking distance. An added bonus is Ricardo’s little wine shop downstairs. Even for such a short stay we really felt like residents of Lucca. The apartment is cozy, beautifully decorated and really felt like home with all the amenities. It’s furnished very nicely and the king bed was very comfortable. The fully equipped kitchen, with a full size refrigerator, was more than adequate to cook and dine in but for such a short stay we had some favorite restaurants to revisit. The apartment, up one flight of stairs, looks out over Via Santa Croce. Via Santa Croce is a little busy during the day and very quiet at night and being a bit away from the tourist sites gives the feel of actually living in Lucca.

Liz was very easy to do business with. She always responded promptly to our questions during the booking process. Our arrival in Lucca was delayed for several hours and Liz took care of making sure we could get the keys to the apartment.

We had a wonderful stay in Adagio, the only negative was that it was too brief.
