Best located in the heart of Lucca's Centro Historico, Adagio combines comfort, quiet, and efficiency with an absolutely beautiful decor. You can walk everywhere
( 10 min. from LIS, my Italian school), or jump on a bike (rental 100 meters away).
The efficiently appointed kitchen makes it fun to dine home. And if you haven't completed your research prior to your trip, there's an abundance of information and books to perfectly guide and enhance your Tuscan stay. Grazie Liz, for a wonderful holiday at Adagio - we'll be back! B&C
My husband and I just returned from three weeks in Europe and our highlight was the five days we spent in Lucca at this property. Our regret is that we didn't stay longer. The pictures represent exactly how charming this property is, Liz has left nothing out, you have everything you need and more. She is an absolute delight to deal with and Ricardo at the wine shop below is great. Thank you so much Liz, we hope to see you again either in Lucca or one of your other properties.
The apartment had everything I needed and more! Great location! A wine store on one side. A gelato shop on the other side. Easy walking distance to the wall or anywhere in town. I look forward to returning! Thank you Liz!
Staying at Adagio was truly like having your own lovely home in Lucca. The apartment is furnished beautifully and every need one may have has been considered in the design. Within one day, coming back to Adagio after exploring the city was like returning to your own apartment.
Adagio’s location is also absolutely perfect. You are able to walk anywhere within the historic walled city as well as to the train station. There is no place more convenient. Our week in Lucca at Adagio was the most memorable and enjoyable part of a three week visit to Italy. We cannot wait to return to Lucca and will absolutely stay at Adagio again.
This is a beautiful gem of an apartment. It is really tiny but everything is immaculate, well thought out and comfortable. It is stylishly furnished and decorated and Liz has provided lots of little extras to make it a lovely home away from home. We had a wonderful 5 days here in August 2016 and loved it. Our only slight discomfort was the heat which the aircon struggled to cope with. However, you have to expect heat in Summer in Italy! It is well located in the centre of the town. Shops for food and other provisions are nearby and there are plenty of good venues available for meals or refreshments. We particulary enjoyed the easy access to the wall and the lovely evening walks "on the wall". There is so much to see and experience in Lucca and it is also a good base to do trips to the surrounding areas. We did a day trip to Cinque Terra. Florence and Bologna are not far away. Liz, the Owner, is exceptionally helpful and so pleasant to deal with. She couldn't have been more helpful. We will definitely stay again and are already planning another trip.
I find it difficult to write my review since everything wonderful about this apt.has been said by others, and quite
eloquently. My opinions and comments echo those that reviewed before me. I spent one month in Lucca enjoying
the feel of being at home while away from home. I am a seasoned traveler and have experienced many different
types of accommodations. I think Liz has done an excellent job with all the details a visitor welcomes. The information she provides is so valuable from restaurant suggestions with personal comments to understanding the ways of Lucca. In the apt. she includes things like bandaids, Q- Tips, some sewing tools, lovely soaps, etc.
Liz makes you feel like she is happy that you chose her place for your stay in Lucca. She and the apt. are a class
act ! and of course you will adore Ricardo and his wine shop next door. He and his wife were helpful in answering
questions about anything Lucca related and his wine suggestions were excellent......
