Welcome to the Summerland Double Dolphin! This NEW, completely modern 2 Bedroom/1 Bath relaxing vacation custom home is within walking distance to the beach & downtown Summerland!

This perfect oasis offers many custom features including all hardwood floors, vaulted wood ceiling, extensive cabinetry, comfortable new reclining sofa furniture, flat screen T.V.’s (both including Direct TV), WiFi, fully stocked kitchen (including dishwasher), indoor & outdoor tables for dining, ceiling fans in every room, walk-in shower & a private washer and dryer. Each bedroom offers queen beds, a double door closet & plenty of space so you can really feel at home.

This rare, brand new single family home comes with screened, double-pane windows for a majestic ocean view and possible dolphin sightings! There are multiple private outdoor seating options, private 3-burner propane grill & secure private brick stone driveway offering parking for two vehicles. Fully fenced in yard.

This is the home you need for your vacation! It's located in a charming beach town that offers restaurants, shopping, markets, post office & convenience stores all within walking distance. The Summerland beach is operated by the County of Santa Barbara and is less than 1/2 mile from the Summerland Double Dolphin home. The beach (currently under maintenance) and park offers a playground, horseshoe pit, sand volleyball, picnic tables, grills & free parking.

The town of Summerland may be quaint but it offers something for everyone; whether you want to hike/bike the well groomed trails and back roads, surf the world famous Rincon, lay on the quiet beach, sip a glass of wine at the Summerland Winery, take the public bus to Santa Barbara or Carpinteria (world's safest beach!) or stay at home and watch the ocean - this is the place for you.

We are very proud of this home and have made every effort to supply everything you will need to make your vacation UNFORGETTABLE!

About Debby and Rick

We have been in Summerland for about 10 years moving here from Arizona by way of Massachusetts. Rick has been in construction for over 30 years and we designed and custom built the Summerland Double Dolphin to be the ideal vacation home that it is. We put our heart and soul into a place where people could come to relax, enjoy the beach and the town that we fell in love with 10 years ago. We are very proud of our home and we think it shows. Why Debby and Rick chose Summerland

We chose this location because it allowed us to build a second home on the property to fulfill our vision of one day being able to build a new custom home that family and guests could enjoy for many years.

What makes this house unique

Being that we built this home in 2014 from the ground up we were able to truly choose the amenities that are important to us and to our guests as well. These amenities include a great ocean view allowing you to relax and watch the boats and sea life pass by. We also incorporated hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, comfortable furniture, and a kitchen dinette in a place that gets magnificent natural light. We know that everyone congregates to the kitchen so we built a great extended seating counter with backed bar stools that allow for everyone to come together and enjoy each other’s company. The home also has a customized bathroom with a large inlay glass walk in shower. The bedrooms are roomy and offer plenty of light. All the switched lighting throughout the home is customized so you can create your own mood through dimmer switches and we included ceiling fans in all the rooms. The home is very quite as it has all double pane windows with screens and solid interior alder wood doors. We put a lot of thought into the footprint of the home so that it would be very private including the patio off the master bedroom and the seating area in the backyard. We have even installed a complete fire sprinkler system for your safety.

Nicely nestled cottage full of comforts, amenities, and a great host.

We surely enjoyed our stay here, and we thank Debbie and Rick for the use of their very nice cottage with all the comforts of home. One could tell Debbie and Rick poured their hearts into this place with all nice touches. We felt so relaxed here, especially in the outside patio overlooking the ocean as we hit very nice weather. Additionally, the home was centrally located within walking distance to the beach, shops, cafe, eateries, groceries and wine- tasting, very convenient!

If or when we visit in the future we hope to select it to continue our quest for more activities in the Santa Barbara area.

Spent the weekend here with my wife. This place is really nice and convenient. Super clean and easy access right off the highway. Summerland is an amazing little town as well. We will stay here again in the future!

Excellent place, sweet owners and awesome view.

We really enjoyed staying at this place. The view was exceptional , and we stayed so much time in the house watching the view and sipping wine. With kids instead of going around the town and getting tired , we really preferred staying and relaxing at the house. The house was beautifully decorated and felt like home . We could see that Debby and rick put their heart in building this house and taking so much personal care about it. The welcome champagne was awesome and Debby and rick were very sweet who very just a phone call away for everything. I would like to come back to this place again .Looking forward to it.

Summerland Beach - Outlook Park

Summerland is a quaint little beach town nestled between the mountains and the ocean! This little town has it everything you need for a fabulous vacation retreat.

You can walk to Outlook Park, the portal to the beach, which has a playground for the kids, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pit, formal picnic areas, restrooms and parking is free. Outlook Park is operated by Santa Barbara Parks and Recreation, so it is very well kept and clean. The beach at Outlook Park is a hidden gem. It is rarely busy, so you can have plenty of room to spread out and enjoy yourself. Currently this beach is under maintenance. However, there are three other equally as nice beaches within a 2-mile radius.

Summerland also has plenty of restaurants that are all within walking distance from the Summerland Double Dolphin. The Nugget is a “locals” delight and offers a full menu and bar. Summerland Café is wonderful for breakfast and lunch. If you are in the mood for “beach fare” then we would recommend Tinkers, they have great burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, shakes and much more.

If you want to do a little wine tasting, there is the Summerland Winery. The winery has 14+ different varietals from 9 renowned vineyards. Some of their wines were recognized by The Wine Advocate's Robert Parker.

You can also spend time shopping in Summerland. The town has clothing stores including the Bikini Factory as well as other unique boutiques. You can also find plenty of jewelry at the Sacred Space, Wax Poetic and other stores. There are also a variety of antique stores that have an abundant array of unique items.

Summerland has it ALL and the Summerland Double Dolphin is ideally located in the midst of it all. We are far enough from the highway yet close enough to town to walk to everything. You can park your car and never have to get into it again.

We are close to many neighboring towns (Santa Barbara-5 miles, Montecito-2 miles and Carpinteria-4 miles). There is public transportation available to all the neighboring towns and is easily accessible within 3 blocks from the vacation home.

The Summerland Double Dolphin is private and is all on one level. It is not connected to any other unit. It offers a great view, clean interior, off-street private parking, fully equipped kitchen, customized bath complete with towels and toiletries, beach accessories (beach towels, umbrellas, chairs), full on-site private laundry, private BBQ gas grill, private patio area which is great for entertaining or intimate dinners.

We, the owners -Rick and Debby, are readily available if you need us. We want to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
