About Jeff midlick
We live in Florida most of the year but call Maine our home most of the summer.
Jeff midlick purchased this Estate in 2013
Why Jeff midlick chose Cumberland County
We looked in Maine for many years for the perfect property. We live in the home from June till mid Aug.We return to Florida so the kids can go back to school. We spared no expense in the furnishings and artwork because it is our home not just a vacation rental.
What makes this Estate unique
So many features will make you fall in love with this home and make you want to return year after year. The amazing fireplace for the cool evenings. The beautifully appointed kitchen for the discerning chefs. The basketball court the kids love. The Gazebo is a quiet place to read or gather for a drink. The neighbors are very friendly and helpful. The views are breath taking.

Wonderful! Clean. Plenty of room for a large group.
There was a bed for everyone in our large group. That made people happy. There were so many glasses, plates and cups we never ran out! The group “cooker” commented they could use a few more mixing bowls and basic kitchen supplies, but as the person who wasn’t in the kitchen I didn’t notice a lack of items. You need to bring your own soaps (even hand soap for some bathrooms) and shampoo/conditioner but there are enough towels to go around. The house is even nicer than it looks online. The kitchen is a great space for gathering and lounging. The home is about 25 minutes to Portland and very close to the Freeport outlets. The ocean is across the street and would be a great place to kayak if you brought a boat. I would stay here again, it was a wonderful experience all around!
Great Location with large accomodations
Our family of 17 adults and 2 babies enjoyed the space this beautiful home offered. It was in a great location. Didn't realize it was in a neighborhood, but it was awesome nonetheless.
Great home, lots of space
The size and location of the house were perfect for our family. The beach was right across the street and perfect for beautiful walks. The renters were very accommodating and accessible when we needed to reach them a few times.
I would recommend having enough trash bags, toilet paper, and dish towels available to get guest through the first night or let guest know ahead of time to bring those things. We had to run out and buy those things when we first got there when we just wanted to settle in. Other than that the accommodations were wonderful and the house is very beautiful!
Great for large family get togethers
Our extended family ventured to Freeport for Christmas and had a wonderful time. The main floor of the Taj is set up perfectly for large groups for dinner, socializing, and just being together. There are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs to accommodate everyone as well. We hope to be heading back someday!
Beautiful, comfortable, enormous, tasteful home with view of bay
This is a beautiful property, large enough for 20 (although one room has a bunk bed and one room sleeps 4. Everything was as good as it gets, from the well-equipped kitchen, to the basketball court. Close to a nice state park on the water, with a network of trails with breathtaking views, easy enough for young children and older adults. Beds are comfortable, some of the bedrooms, and the living room and kitchen and dining area, have wonderful views of the bay, lots of parking, beach access, ten minutes from downtown Freeport. (About 25 or so minutes to downtown Portland.) This is one of nicest, if not the nicest, VRBO properties we've rented. Stay here if it is available.
We enjoyed a long weekend here, marking my mom's 70th birthday with 6 of her children and their children.
We loved the downstairs common space which made for great socializing areas for a bbq with the cousins who stopped in. Basketball hoop got plenty of exercise, the badminton and ping pong table too.
Would have been nice if there were hand soaps/towels/tp/pt/trash bags, these are things we're accustomed to finding in good supply in smaller, cheaper vrbo rentals. Since we were all coming from out of state, half from the west coast, it was a drag to find we needed to keep restocking these basics.
Otherwise, we loved this house and location!
Thank you for your review Ariel. My cleaning staff leaves between 15 and 20 towels for each rental including hand towels. There are pump soaps on each sink in bathrooms and kitchen. We don't provide shower soaps or shampoo. We provide a full roll of paper towels and 3 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom. There should have been plenty for a 3 day stay.We also leave 3 to 4 trash bags which should also make it through a weekend rental.
